Beautiful video! In answer to your question: I have been somewhere like that - and you were spot on - it is eerily similar to the dry country in the interior of British Columbia, Canada (Princeton and Merritt). Especially the green hills on the edge of town and the pine forest in the park. In Princeton all the trees are ponderosa pines. The pines in that park looked a bit different - but squint your eyes and you would have a hard time distinguishing Mexiquillo from the Similkameen River Valley (except the Similkameen has water all year thanks to snow melting up top). Thank you for showing that the vast dry expanse in northern Mexico has so many beautiful locations worth visiting!

David! Thanks for that talk. It’s really a way to keep Americans afraid to leave America. And to believe that our neighbor Mexicans are dangerous people. We know this is a lie. I’m a teacher in Virginia and many of my students and neighbors are Mexicans. Such kind and lovely people. More Americans, even African Americans like myself are planning to move and retire in Mexico! Thanks for showing us other parts of Mexico!

Hi Naadira! You actually make me think of a conversation I was having with an ex-work colleague in the UK. She was born in London and her parents moved from Ghana, but she's apprehensive about coming to Mexico because there isn't much coverage of people of colour in Mexico! It always seems to be that people living in Mexico are either Mexicans or white Americans. I don't want to start a debate but has anyone ever talked about this! lol

Hello David! I read somewhere that there's a place in Durango called "LA Zona del Silencio", where there have been UFO's sightings. It is an area where radio waves disappear and electronic apparatus have some kind of disturbances and stop working. Maybe someone from the area or the state can corroborate the rumors. Great video, by the way! And good vibes, thank you for sharing your experiences with us. Take care!

Yep it's one of those places that's basically impossible to visit. Much of the area is protected. It was a very nice video with very nice landscapes. I think there are more animals in Central Park. Where are the animals? Squirrels, birds, raccoons? Maybe they just come out at night. Thank you very much for showing that!

Fabian! Cuatrocienegas was on my plan when I was there but I had to change it to Matamoros instead because of travel issues. Fortunately, I now have my driving licence in my possession so next time I'm in the area I will go! It looks really cool, I even researched it and had it all ready!! Gracias amigo, it's great to hear from people from Gomez. Legends!

Rain season in Durango starts in mid June and lasts till October, that's why you are seeing dry waterfalls, and El Saltito's in Nombre de Dios waterfall is mainly dry because of the dry season and the dam of the Nazas river is closed. They open the river's flow in rain season

That looks like a lake you were walking through. The trees are probably new. Water erosion on the rocks. I live near lake Michigan. We sometimes get too much water rain snow. If we had to run pipelines, I'd rather see water pipelines than oil !! Take our excess snow and shove it in a tube and send it south!
