I have played drums for over 40 years. I have owned all of the top of the line gear, played in a lot of professional settings, had a blast along the way. I have been a subscriber of Meytall for one reason. Not because she's an attractive young lady, not because of her playing ability, which is as good as it gets. My reason, because no matter what song, genre or difficulty, she's always smiling and loving the art. She is an inspiration and a great role model. Keep up the great video's and continue to love the art form.

This bothers me. Her skills, yes, undeniable. Her smile, showing us just how distracted she is, dissapointing. Every time I try to watch her anymore I am thoroughly impressed by the idea that she is doing this for the ego trip. Not the music. Just watched the video, very good but typical rock drummer using matched grip.quite possibly her good looks helps, and of course her enthusiasm too. I've played for several decades, took lessons in high school, and enjoy all the greats; Peart, Bonham, Gadd, Palmer, Cobham to name a few. Also appreciate all types of music, jazz, r and b, rock, etc. Now, for something extrodinary, listen to any of several buddy Rich's Solo s from the mid 19 seventys, and what he does with far fewer drums. For desert, Google Michael shreve' s solo,( drummer for Santana) played at Woodstock 1969. As fun as it was, What I just saw doesn't hold a candle to either of the 2 mentioned before.

Meytal I have watched you for years. Each video has the excitment you broadcast with a precission of percussion that even you cannot stop smiling about! And it never loses that thrill of seeing you over and over again in the same videos. Like you captured that energy and transfered it digitally in a way that preserved the true passion of playing those goddamn drums! I bet you could sound just as good playing coconuts. Girl let me tell you something you couldn't have picked a better song to do the drum cover best band ever I discovered them thanks to some heavy metal song I was listening to on KZbin and then I went out and purchased all of their albums waiting to get the new one and that they came out with recently they're getting up there in age but as long as I can still kick ass and take names so I care about we need people especially like you to keep our metal going throughout the next eternity thank you babe you got it on let me tell you you really do

Progressive metal is not as fast as regular metal so, the drummer can be a more laid-back kinda drum play, but still, you need to focus more on alternative fills, tempo adjustments, and so on. ^_^
