I watched this video just now and I can only say: thank you so much for time, work and energy you have put in it. I am inhaling every piece of information - comparing it with my experiences with print on demand. You are putting so much valuable information in every video you publish! I opened my Zazzle store in 2009 and had a lot of ups and downs (more downs) with it. Over a period the downs were that deep that I simply gave up, thinking that my art and design were bad, not worth putting on products and the like. Every sale made me try it again, but the final reason for not giving up and deciding to put new energy in my Zazzle shop was you - watching your videos and joining the facebook community helped so much - so thank you again for that! You are a wonderful person!!

Ammm thanks :) My health is chronic - there’s no full recovery (the key is to manage it and live with it :)) As for the environment- I’m not sure I understand what you mean by that….as this is an older video I went in to see “the environment “ it’s my studio apartment in the only place in the apartment that had light to film (not much of an environmental choice, but literally the only place I could film )
@DianaLegacy-u8e9 ай бұрын
@@MeyTribe I appreciate your thoughtful approach to video environments. The distinction between the professional setting with your artwork, suited for advice and tutorials (Video 05 on Zazzle), and the more intimate livingroom setting for personal anecdotes like your journeys across Thailand, Israel, and Bulgaria, demonstrates a clear understanding of audience engagement. This deliberate choice in environment creates a more compelling viewing experience by aligning the visual presentation with the content's nature. This level of detail truly adds value to your viewers' understanding and connection with your message.

@@DianaLegacy-u8e again Thanks But you’re giving me credit for something I didn’t do The zazzle series was filmed in a different apartment. Set changes were made cause I moved apartments… I didn’t one day choose to film in a living room and not in a bedroom… I simply moved from a studio to a 1 bedroom apartment and my ex was in the bedroom when I was filming.

The idea of taking the 400+ mug designs I've completed and just loaded on to Etsy to other products and platforms sounds hopeful. I know you're not asking for pity but I too, after living nearly 60 years in full health, perfectly able-bodied became disabled for sake of back surgery/meningitis.. So continuing work as an Occupational therapist following 24+yrs as a professional exhibition artist became impossible. So art is where I am and feel so lucky but starting from scratch isn't easy. No more traveling to shows. No in-person exhibitions. Your challenges are very familiar. But different for a wide difference in age. But I appreciate your wisdom, your insights and experience. Thanks so much Mey. You are an inspiration dear friend. ❤️

I have similar conditions. For 8 years I couldn't fly on the plane, I couldn't even go my grandma funeral (who I grow up with). along with psychological condition I also have fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, and loosing my vision (for which I need to get eye shots every month to slow down the process). I can tell you that doing art and photography AND buying my own house that like (which also allowed me to surround myself with a few people I trust) helped me a LOT and first time in my life I actually feel happy and serene inside. But my 30s were the worst in terms of psychological issues, towards mid 40s in faded away when i got in my life into more stable position, but physical issues got worst. So yeah i know what are you going through, its great that you are able to travel and see the world and I know how hard it is for you. Best wishes and prayers for you.
@MeyTribe2 жыл бұрын
First off- thanks for sharing your story with me :) Not sure how much traveling I do.. We took 2 trips, Miso & I, in the past few months, both short, and in which i spent most of the trip in bed paralyzed. And I cannot fly anymore. at least not for the next few years, meaning I am pretty much stuck here, facing another -20 degrees winter, or more like- 4 months of not leaving my studio :/ I am thinking of postponing the apartment purchase a bit, as I am so exhausted from work, and having to move apartments (started yesterday) that I feel like I lost my chance to get a bit better pre-winter... So I might delay these plans a bit, in a year or two. All depends on the housing market here, which seems to be so random. I am happy to read that at least those monthly shots are helping, and I can totally relate to the point of - doing everything to keep from getting worse, and just doing my thing, especially with art. I wish you all the health that seemed to have escaped our both

I can absolutely relate to what you say about living with chronic illness. I am 62 now and have lived with chronic illness since I was 21. I have a heart condition along with an auto immune disease and have been on so much medication I rattle. The side effects of the medication make me feel ill all the time. Print on demand has offered me some hope. I am still at the beginning of my journey with it, and am limited in the time I can spend working on it because my hands are so bad. But when they are too sore to work on Affinity or Canva, I stop and listen to KZbin videos that educate me further. Yours have been a godsend and I have been binge watching all of them. Thank you for being candid about your health issues. It gives me hope for my own journey. At this stage in my life my husband and I are planning retirement and I am hoping a print on demand hobby might supplement our pension when we get there.

Sorry for the late reply, it's been some super crazy weeks... But I did want to reply back... I am overwhelmed with just how much people feel cool to share here with me, it's amazing! and I feel like I naturally have viewers with chronic illnesses, like - I attract myself, people who have struggles but want that creative outlet. Meds can be good and also terrible, I was on Morphine dosages 12 years ago that were 3 times a legal overdose, and already stopped helping me... and i was always missing time when using them. and when they subside after few hours- the pain was even worse. I also don't take the meds they offered me for seizures, cause after 2-3 weeks they made my hands shake and I couldn't think. I understand the limit in working... So many times I spend hours in bed looking up cause I need to let my back and shoulders "rest"... I try to use that "downtime" for education, watching youtube videos or skillshare classes. It's amazing to hear that there are people like me who do that as well!! We are SO LUCKY !! Imagine the same medical condition but no internet, or no interest in anything, and just feeling sorry for ourselves... crazy - but I am so grateful for learning !!! (and to see more people are doing that instead of feeling sorry for themselves). I really wish you all the best in your print on demand journey, or selling printables, making whatever brings you joy ! a busy mind is a healthy mind !! All the love to you and yours and again, sorry for taking forever to reply, commenting back takes me forever to type and sitting in typing position ain't easy LOL

Hi Mey :) What an awesome video! Thank you for everything that you share with us. 💗 I love your videos not only because you share so much & that I've learned so much from them, but also because you have that amazing personality. Even from the 1st video I felt a connection with you? Oh jeesh that sounds weird but, the things you go through and I think also (and we had a discussion in a fb group the other day about this.) about how creative people are so much alike, and tend to think different from others, have more anxiety, and over thinking things and so much more. And so many things that can give us "art block" we can be so motivated and work all day on 10 different things, but getting absolutely NOTHING finished lol But the discussion went on and on all day lol ..turned into a full page about how much we all had in common, and yes felt so good to talk to others and see we aren't alone or crazy, we're just unique and we should embrace/celebrate it, many wish they were like us. lol Our minds are constantly filled with & in tune with creating and ideas, that when something little happens, it can give us a creative block for a week or more. :) You motivate us, but also tell us what tools we need to do what we need to do & how to do it. And now, I'm off to order the ipad .. months I've been going over specs and what pens and what device is best for art.. I wanted a 2 in 1 windows touch screen because I have a windows computer to link it with. But today ipad pro wins and I'm pushing the button. (And procreate, yayy!) I tend to ramble on lol Anyways thanks again and keep on keepin' on creative people, we're a unique bunch! 🥰

I think it's expensive everywhere... I mean, yeah, paying 270 euros for a 1 bedroom apartment in Bansko is awesome!!! For me !!!- minimum wage here is 300-320 euro, so for locals this is CRAZY !!! And that's not even the prices in Sofia. That's why geo-arbitrage works for so many people, as you come with "money" made in a more expensive country, to a country with less money- living like a king.

Can you make a video how to use mock up with placeit and printify? I learned a lot in this video and loved it. Huge thumbs up!
@MeyTribe2 жыл бұрын
Not sure about the comparison between the two... Printify is a print on demand supplier, you can use their own mockups or take mockups from Placeit. There was a full placeit app tutorial here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnnLZndqnaaCftU

I enjoyed watch this video. You ask where am I? My story starts with video before "print on demand" I and my friends would talk about movies and art how we love the great parts of the movie better than the whole film. KZbin has some clips, but not all the clips we love, so I created my channel to show the clips we like best. This lead to art of different artists that we love. And then "print on demand". My fiends and I would talk about Public domain designs that were GREAT👍, but they didn't quite match the house or the design we wanted. The color was little off. Maybe more blues or greens would be better. So this is were I started my "print on demand". I'm just starting out in the Redbubble world, but I'm having fun adding a collection of colors to the world of art. And as for may own spin I have the picture logo A by G (Art-by-Geoff). Thanks for the video, I will look for more, it will be easier now that I have subscribed.

I loved this video, thank you for making it! It was good to hear about your journey with it all. I do have a question, when you were talking about motivation, I have to wonder, do you mean motivation specifically or inspiration? I’m just curious, inspiration fades, but with the right motivation for something it can last forever. Like a single parent who needs to feed their kids, feeding the kids is what inspired them to work in the first place and it is a good motivation to keep working, so it’s not likely to fade in a hurry. But a teenager who made a dress one time and from that is inspired to make their own store to sell dresses they make, would most likely lose their motivation because their original inspiration is short lived from the momentary excitement. Does that make sense? Absolutely no criticism meant at all, I’m really curious and just wondering if I misunderstood that section, that’s all.
@MeyTribe2 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say feeding your kids is motivation, to me it would be survival. But then again- that depends on the situation. I meant that a lot of people see motivation as the BEST, but motivation has waves, sometimes more, sometimes less... especially when an online business can take months and even years to become truly worth the time you spend on it. Maybe it's a combo of both motivation and inspiration... I can tell you that I went through a huge demotivating phase in January. As my motivation for working (KZbin, print on demand, blogs, clients) was needing food. That was gone now, I have enough to retire here given my passive income, and my "salary" for my disability. BUT- I had to think beyond my initial motivation, and maybe to connect more to inspiration on my end- to wanna go back to making new art and filming.. I think motivation and inspiration can be different things to different people... are regardless if we agree on the specific semantics - I think we understand each other :)

I would love to know the AI writing program you use and also how you use a blog post to promote your product or other products.
@MeyTribe2 жыл бұрын
Coming up in August!! And about the blog post- you basically either write a post about the product itself on a relevant niched site, or mention it as a general thing. For example, let's say you're focused on something like the chess game designs for Teepublic, you can make a post about "best gifts for chess players" and the gift recommendations are all your designs.

Starting over in a new country is extremely challenging ❤ I have PTSD, brain damage, disc herniation since the age of 19 - it comes and goes depending on how good I am with keeping my back strong and fit, have 3 kids where 2 of them are waiting to get checked for ADHD and autism... Just overhere surviving rn but I also wanna LIVE and provide my kids with a life of possibilities, travel full time and world school, which is why I'm determined to build a sustainable online business. Scatterbrain is my default state so it'll defo take a while to build 😅 you and your videos are Godsend for me so thank you for creating this channel and for staying so darn real 🙌🫶

Mey, you're a joy and you've helped me a lot! I'm not an artist myself (although I take photos), but I'm trying to sell specialty wine-related art and photography. A while back, you were really hot on Fine Art America, and in this video you don't mention them. I'd love to know why. I feel more comfortable working on a site that makes a website (or webpage) for you and then does the POD and fulfillment. Here you say it's important to make your own site, which means you then have to integrate the site (like Shopify) with another site, and I'm not sure I can do that. Can I hire you as a consultant? Would love to pay to talk my situation over with you - you said you do consulting. Hoping you can help, this is very overwhelming! Thanks so much for your great videos!!

@MeyTribe2 жыл бұрын
I made my RedBubble sales from bringing in my own traffic at the beginning. I don't think i would have sold anything without marketing it myself. I think that RB is great for beginners, but without marketing- you might end up not selling anything. Do you optimize your designs for all the products? do you have niches you're focused on ? Maybe a different platform would fit you better? Are you placing the same designs on Zazzle and RedBubble? Those are super different platforms, with a different audience. Shopify is free for a month, but without a domain and paying for it - you can't really start a business from it. If that's not an option for you- focus on the current platforms, with targeted designs- and MARKETING.

My goal is to have a group/ list of 100k.
