Personally, I appreciate how Meze addressed their delay issues. I preordered them, they sent an email letting me know that there were supply issues and that shipment would be delayed; no problem. Later they emailed again to say that they would include an extra cable, 4,4mm. I might be biased, but I do not hear anything wrong with my set; they have even replaced my Starfield as my to-go iem. They are surprisingly noise isolating, I use the 4,4mm cable plugged into the Moondrop Dawn Pro dongle to my smartphone. Again, I don't hear any issues with sound; maybe I am lucky like that. My only complaint is the cable but I can live with it. Good review, and that conspiracy theory sounds plausible; I've heard more far fetched things before.

Great to see you Aaron and God bless you and all you love. I ordered these and will have them today. I have severe tinnitus in my left ear and I will either love or hate these. Sometimes the high pitch of a sound hits the same frequency of my ringing and it has a dynamic effect in the WRONG way! To be continued... ;-)

I’m almost done with trying IEMs. I have the alba. It’s pretty good. I also have the Kato which I’m returning . Because most IEMs arw harsh and thin on the upper mids and treble. The Kato also has horrible timbre and pillow like attack. I EQ all iems and headphones. With IEMs it’s mandatory. Maybe they will improve IEMs in the future with better target curves to shoot for.

Thanks for the straight up honest review Aaron. I've found that generally if a reviewer finds the sound spicy it's probably not something that I will enjoy either. And to be honest, I'm not sure what to make of the style/ look of it. Maybe not my cup of IEM tea in either respect 🙂

Hey Phil, it terms of spiciness scale, I'd give it a 2 out of five chilli peppers. To me it's bad because it's highly sensitive (and unpredictable) in how it produces treble.

Hook them up to a ifi hip dac 3, with a 4.4mm balanced cable, and your good to go.
