UPDATE 12/24/11 : After roughly 6 months, I opened my fluids kit, kept both in the little zip lock bag and then in the Altoids Smalls tin, to discover the Bleach tube had busted open. Luckily the ziplock bag kept the problem well contained. I suspect the bleach, which you'll notice has an expiration date on the master container they sell it in, had crystallized, much like maple syrup turns into maple "rock" candy on occasion, and the growing crystals cut through the straw material. I might look into carrying a powdered version instead, which they sell for swimming pools and I think is actually the same stuff but dehydrated and ground into powder. All you need is water to reconstitute it and it too can act as a water purifier in an emergency, using the oven roaster plastic bag as a water storage and mixing bag.
