Nice work.... it's coming along great. That's an excellent grading tractor. I bought one new in 89. They didn't make them for many years, and then just went with the 50 model that I believe had the same running gear just a bigger engine and loader..... but they were not as well balanced for grading. If you compare the loader on this tractor to even the earlier 30B's the main loader arms are shorter keeping the bucket closer to the radiator and thus the weight was more balanced...ie the back end didn't get as light with a bucket full of dirt. Their good on fuel too.

Earlytimes, Bob my dad has the mf50ex witch is a beast! I love my tractor but the power is lacking I’m thinking it’s not boosting. I will be installing a boost gauge to check. Thanks for watching!

I only ran a 50 a couple times.... the 40 isn't going to be a match for their shear power and torque. With a 40 you need to make 2 passes to one of the 50. Where the 40 shines is fine grade and access in tight spots where a 50 wouldn't even fit. I carried mine in the back of my 10 wheeler to transport it. My first skip was an 8N Ford and then a Ford 2000 gas'er then a 30B and then the 40E ..... I did work mostly around custom homes. And i've been thinking of buying another one for work around the property and small jobs in the neighborhood. You've done real good restoring your's, not many guys can take on a project like that.
