Some nice insights. In addition to 1:15.00 The freedom of conscience was codified in the Union of Utrecht, 2 years before the Declaration of Independence. It was the Dutch answer to the religion question forced upon them by the Spanish king, it was a very difficult to reach compromise so that might explain why no one touched it despite some pretty fanatic religious people in power sometimes. On keeping knowledge secret: About half of Europe's books were printed in the Dutch Republic, also because of it's lack of censorship. It was a big industry so there must also have been a very direct financial incentive not keep knowledge secret.

I love your videos. Seriously, this is one of the best things about KZbin... the sciences, arts and museums. Would you consider staggering the releases of your videos? One a day over four days. Dropping four at a time makes it harder to watch (a lot of people watch them as and when they appear on the timeline and don't ever go backwards to investigate if they've missed one (or three)) them all.

@@izzy1563 yes I know but they often drop 5 or 6 videos one after another, Seconds apart. They get get lost in the feed

On the "Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Tulp" ....Are ALL those Not the SAME Face?? The shape of the faces & the hairlines are so near identical.

Oh dear, first find out how to pronounce names befor you do a lecture... this is horrible mrkaytr??? [Mare-kah-toor] [Lö- vn]...Huijghens not hoi or how etc... practis practis...now Huojgens not howgens and he was greater than newton on many levils..

it's not duytshe the ch in duitsch is NOT pronounced sch = s at the end of words... please...DO YOUR HOME WORK before you do a lecture.... Maurits not morris.... come on...you can do it..
