Great video, Don! I’ve been looking into an EFHW and this video really helps! Hope to see you soon! N5GEB.

Thanks David. It does a good job. Thinking about getting another to put up 90 degrees from this one.

Thanks for showing us your install and the SWR readings. It's always interesting to see where the antenna will perform the best. Due to my HOA antenna restrictions, the end fed longwire was my best option to remain stealth. My 53' end fed longwire has similar SWR readings as yours with 10 meters being the highest. 73!

The endfed is an amazing antenna. I agree that it is an awesome antenna to use in an HOA. Thanks for watching.

Nice video Don. Cool to see the whole antenna on that analyzer all at once.

Thanks for this cool test and review. It was cool to see the analyzer stats on the antenna. Can't wait to hear you having QSOs on it. 73

Thanks Greg. I believe I'll like it when I have more time to use it.

This was my first antenna, and I still have it. I got every state except HI (even then, probably could if I tried harder) from MD. I’ve also gotten New Zealand on FT8, and EU is easy, but I live in east coast. 10 meters is mostly unusable. Everything else is ok, especially with a built in tuner. I use it mostly now for 80meters since my DC Commander doesn’t have 80. It will eventually break where the wire meets the box, and only took a couple of minutes to fix. It’s definitely a great value and I recommend it, especially as a first antenna.

Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching. Mine has broken, but as a result from a falling limb during a hurricane.

@@dongibbskk4qam sorry to hear that. I literally just took mine down a few minutes ago as I have a lot of landscaping work being done tomorrow. The silver lining is, you can always just replace the wire right?

Repair has been made. Just havent put it back up yet. I actually have several antennas up and I'm not in need of the antenna right away.

Great video Don! That has narrower bandwidth than I would have expected for a half wave. I like your sliding insulator idea. I'm not a fan of how MFJ does their strain-relief though, I prefer how HyEnd does it on their wire antennas.

Thanks Jason. It looks to be a promising antenna. I got so hot putting it up that I didn't get it adjusted. Hope to do that in a day or so.

Would be nice especially with MFJ products to pop it open and give people a look inside.

I thought about doing just that, but I think Dave Castler did that on the video he made of the MFJ endfed.

It works great. I was amazed at how long it will last. I have actually had trouble getting some out of a tree before. Good stuff.
