One of the disappointments I had with unmasked war Obito was his lack of a decent awakening in Storm 4. I didn't want the giant Ten Tails awakening again, but come on, he deserved more than "make an angry face."

His awakening should've been his Imperfect Ten Tails Jinchuuriki form. And his Ultimate Jutsu is also disappointing considering 3 out of his 6 variants all use Summoning Jutsu as an Ultimate, imo unmasked Obito should've had as an Ultimate the way he killed Neji, at least that way its one of his Jutsu empowered by the Ten Tails instead of just another Summoning.

Obito's character was dumb, but his fighting styles were cool. Using intangibility and dimensional transportation to mess with people was one of the most interesting powers introduced in Shippuden.

It was also cleverly explained how it was just Kamui... that was basically the only well explained ability in the bs that was the war arc.

@CURSE U UCHILA’S While I don't exactly hate the war arc, I still feel that the Pain arc is the best arc in Shippuden. It wasn't too long, it had sudden and dramatic deaths that had some weight (Shizune, Kakashi, and Hinata), Naruto had an interesting connection to the villain (both hero and villain took the same goal from their master but took different approaches), and the plot gave Naruto a chance to show more of his strategic side in battle, since he was stronger yet more restricted in his use of chakra and shadow clones. The weakness of the war arc, unfortunately, was its villains. Kishimoto clearly made Kaguya because he wrote himself into a corner with an overpowered Madara, and I felt nothing when Obito died other than "good riddance." Even with Obito's tragic backstory that was even MORE connected to Naruto's, I didn't sympathize with a guy who ruined everyone's lives for twenty years because his childhood crush died and he never really grew up past that. The Pain arc villain Nagato had been fighting for longer and even made a group to help his land before it all fell apart; Obito basically turned into a bad guy through a series of bad luck instances.

@@soldyrkare5790 I feel that he is a character whose motivations come across as childish. He SAYS he acts the way he does because the shinobi system, and really the whole world, is flawed for taking away the people we love most. BUT with all his mentioning of Rin all the time, it looks like his REAL motivation is that he wants to destroy the world because his childhood crush died, a girl who, as far as anyone knows, didn't love him back. That's just STUPID. Kakashi lost his father to suicide, and technically lost both Obito and Rin to the same war. Then he lost his precious teacher Minato to the Nine-Tails. But you don't see him going bonkers and wanting to destroy the Leaf Village. Obito's been through tragedy, but his actions don't feel justified. They're more like the temper tantrum of a manchild who never mentally grew up from 13 years old.

@@Montesama314 Yeah i guess his motivation and mindset is a bit convoluted and ridiculous. Hes still my favorite Uchiha though aside from Shisui. Hear me out though, if im not mistaken Obito actually went insane after Kakashi accidentally killed Rin.. Typically all Uchihas suffer intense trauma and loss in their lifetime. its almost a tradition that each member suffers in their own unique and obscene ways, AKA the bloodlines "Curse of Hatred". I guess Obito just handled his worse than the others and you have to take into account he was pretty young when he died. Obito honestly reminds me of Naruto in some regards such as his dream was to become hokage and surpass Kakashi (as did Naruto with Sasuke) as well as his compassionate heart. Its a shame what happened to both him, Kakashi and Rin... he is without a doubt one of the most powerful characters and like you said, he had one of the most unique and interesting powers/abilities which was the Tamui AKA teleportation and power transportation through a dimensional rift via his special Mangekyo Sharingan as well as his knack for identity deception.

Because Obito is basically a what-if-Naruto-became-evil character. They kept repeating that idea over and over with e.g. Nagato and Memna (wo sadly isn't playable, but his mask can be unlocked in Storm Revolution).
