I hate how seemingly weak they made Deathwing. I think his abilities need a faster wind up time and the Protection after armor breaks should be built in.

I think inherent protection on plate-loss would be good, but they really can't make him much faster - his permanent crowd control immunity means dodging is the *only* counterplay.

@@Waldo134 Same way Diablo's abilities seem to do zero damage for the strongest of the Prime Evils - this is a MOBA that's attempting to be balanced, not an accurate recreation of each character. No, Murky and Raganaros are nowhere near the same power level, but for this game they need to be.

Deathwing is just one of those niche and specialised heroes you have to pick late into a draft game to really dominate with, because as long as you have roots and stun support from your teammates, his Molten Breath blows teams up.

Idk. While the comeback was fun, getting taunted and polymorphed off cooldown was very frustrating for me. Two point and click CCs that could be chained with very little counter play. But it created a great KZbin video.

The only thing to say about why this build is actually usually better than range, is people dont tend to just stand still, and none of the q talents *really* wnhance his wave clear with q more than it already does

It also doesn't help that you don't pick of half the regen globes. But yes, I did already say in your last video that the level 1 W talent is useless compared to the armor talent. Not for lack of trying. They nerfed W cooldown, damage and the level 1 used to give 100% damage return. The only way I can see it working is if they let the level 4 talent heal you as well. Not that they update a lot but it could maybe happen. Again, there is a third build. That being ranged but focused on talents that aren't Q. It can work but it can be hard to pull off. Also, it's best to never go full melee with Abathur mines or heavy poke since you could get the regen talent and stay ranged and pretty much make them useless.

I really want you to try drop build! You basically become a stealth assassin as you're dropping in from out of nowhere from the sky. Just take all drop talents, the invincible at 1 and arrival of a god at 20, not the long term damage boost. My favorite build ever in this game :)

I just wish there were talents to make landing build better. Maybe faster landing, protected for 1-2s after landing, or faster re-take off when landing on 2+ enemy heroes. It’s so difficult to reliably land on people, and doing so costs more then it’s worth in damage to yourself

I learned DW on his melee build back when fire and melee were both viable. I loved it. Then they nerfed his HP (it was kinda needed, but they went too far) to make q build with range stance pretty much the only viable way to play. I'm just not good at finding those choke points to put the breath in, and don't find standing back as fun. Wish this build still worked.

They really need to give him some sort of talent or baked in level ten or whatever buff, like how stitches and so on do, to do more damage to waves. It wouldn't make him more of a threat to heroes, but at least then clearing waves with him isn't pain unless you go a very specific build....He's deathwing a giant dragon, he shouldn't have this much trouble with little wave minions.

Granted I havent played in a while but I feel like the real shift in dwing is from melee stance to caster stance. Nearly every dwing I see is in caster stance.

I really enjoy his ranged build, with spamming E meteors on 7 and dmg boost when plates are 3 or lower on lvl 4. But I still go heal attacks on lvl 1. I just play melee with the ranged setup and it wan brawl really well.

Pally, I think you may have missed some stuff with your talent picks, or maybe there is another build. but with the Talents Dragon Soul, Heat Wave (which you picked) and Death Drop, Ruination, Gaze Onto Destruction, and Arrival of a God (which you did not pick in this video) you get talents that work in both World Breaker and Destroyer form. Picking those talents allows you to play as both melee and ranged. I think playing a hybrid with those talents allows you to better handle teams like these, with slippery movements and characters you don't want to me ranged with.

I hate how squishy the giant dragon feels, like seriously, you are the size of the whole lane and you cant even trade with minions efficiently... I wish theyd just rethink DW completely, make him a truck, a tank, but maybe slower, keep the mount on a longer cooldown. Currently deathwing feels too hyper mobile and squishy for being a death wing

I really don't understand Deathwing. He looks like a massive fcking dragon and... he kinda just walks around, refuses to be healed and fails to do any real damage outside of his easy-to-walk-out breath. Melee attack damage is laughable and way too slow (Stuckov deals more right away), his abilities barely do any damage. Only breath is something, so NO WONDER everyone prefers to stay back and just RAAAA at people. No wonder...

Ngl, I hate Genji as a character in overwatch AND Hots that watching Fox get murdered by Eye of Horus and Triple Tap felt kinda good. Such an annoying character/playstyle. I actually don't know what I dislike more, Genji himself or the kind of player that finds that gameplay fun, particularly in overwatch. That dash in, slippery playstyle is just so annoying. He gets too many tools to get him out of trouble that it just isn't fun to play against.
