No it's not... they're going way too fast of a tempo. And it's messing Eddie up you can tell he's frustrated.

Apparently, this song is about a child who has learning difficulties but no body has noticed yet so she doesn't have a diagnosis. The mother reads aloud and the child tries to understand. But she can't... The mother thinks it is because she is lazy or just misbehaving or something. And because the child fails to meet her mothers expectations, she feel she is not fit to be called daughter. That's what it means to me anyway. I feel I have a special connection with this song because it reminds me of me and how I felt when I was very young. I was diagnosed with autism when I was 8 years old.

For those of you going on about Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam, I sure hope you're all just joking. This song here is called Superman's Song and this is the Crash Test Dummies singing it. The lead singer of Crash Test Dummies, Brad Roberts wrote the song. Neither Eddie Vedder nor Pearl Jam have any connection at all with this song. So yeah, I really really do hope you all are just screwing around, never know.

Omg, lmao, I just saw why you asked, lmao. When I wrote this I was still on a video by Big Country, I even double checked what I was watching at the time , trying to figure out why people were going on about Eddie and I swear to you I was watching a video by Big Country, it was a live version of Big Country doing the song Chance in Germany, not Pearl Jam, and yes I do know the difference between the two groups, Have loved both groups for years and they are not the same styles of music and never mind that the lead singer of Big Country, Stuart Adamson has been gone for many years now and Eddie is still with us. Now this has got to be the weirdest crap I've ever experienced on KZbin before and NO, I'm not on drugs and wasn't at the time I wrote the other comment either. Hmm, trying to remember if there was anyone around me at the time and who it was and what they spiked my water with. Holy crap this is weird, lol

"BY ALL MEANS, THE CENTER OF HER OWN ATTENTION" So sick of reading on the internet VIOLINS or VIOLENCE. What sense would those lyrics make?? Use your damn heads sheesh.

No, it’s printed in the label of the records it’s “violins”
