Scripts with STRONG female roles have been around, Disney just hasn't been looking. MTV, of all studios, has done a spectacular job of finding and writing strong female characters with the 1883, 1923 and Yellowstone series. Tom Hanks, Faith Hill, Isabel May, Tim Mcgraw, Billy Bob Thornton, Sam Elliot, Harrison Ford, Kevin Costner and even 007, Timothy Dalton, turning in a spectacular job as a mean, greedy SOB who enjoys BDSM. But Woke Disney found female characters nobody wanted and tried to pull a movie around them with crap plot and writing. I challenge anyone ANYONE to watch the first four minutes of 1883 and NOT want to binge watch all ten episodes!
