Beautiful car. I think it's unusual for the MG variants to be auto. For some reason all the ADO16 autos are single carb, or at least I've never heard of an auto twin carb.

Thank you. I know of no other MG 1100 mk1 with an auto gearbox. They weren't officially available until the mk2 and so it must have been a special order. You are right about carbs - all ADO16 autos were single carb, never twin. Mainly to give more consistent running and less issues, particularly as the idle speed is much more crucial with the autos.
