14.8 kW/h - 90km/h, 16 kW/h- 100km/h, 18kW/h-120km/h 22kW/h-130 km/h. More Speed- more consumption- this is not new! Verry nice Test, thank you for that.😀😀

I had the same experience concerning noise with the MG5 as you have. The car on Dutch highways was more quiet than the 2015 Tesla Model S we owned. I think a very good score seeing a car get to the WLTP range on the highway at 90. At 130 our Tesla was also very thirsty, I guess the sweet spot could be around 115km/h? And people tend to forget the price of this thing is very appealing, and with the government grant in the Netherlands it is actually the best value for money on an electric car these days. You might opt for the ZS, but the cargo space in the 5 is more practical.

To add to your story, the version you tested luxury long-range actually has a wltp of 380 km. I expect this is due to the 17 inch wheels on the luxury vs the 16 inch wheels on the comfort, which is rated at 400km of wltp range. So even a beat of 20km

In South West France it is typical to drive in 50, 70, 80 & 90km/hr zones, but mostly 70 & 80. I would expect the MG5 to meet its WLTP of 400km in this area. That's all I need.

I test drove this car myself but was shocked by a complete lack of underside protection panels for improved airflow under the car. Particularly from the real axel to the rear bumper there are no body panels covering cavities and sheet work. This will cause a lot of turbulence and drag as well as dirt build-up. MG clearly thought that ,what one does not see, does not need any protection....

Or.. they did A/B comparisons and decided that the improvement or lack thereof of aerodynamics was enough for them to cut costs..

But what’s the range when it’s winter and really cold every day and sub zero temperatures, could lead to having to charge the car every day or twice a day if the weather is really bad

You're from Netherlands (One of the best road quality in the world) so it makes sense it's more quieter... Maybe.
