1. The steering feedback you have mentioned is negligible. I own the car, however it won’t be even noticed. 2. The second issue you mentioned about the infotainment system about lagging, it is not there anymore. 3. The sunroof sheet I agree should be improved however the AC which you mentioned as non effective is not true. The AC is extremely powerful. 4. The customer service is way way ahead of any TATA, Maruti or any other brand. I have owned other brands as well and I can bet in India that only luxury brands can match 5. People who complain about the Mileage don’t know about driving, in highway I have got 22 and in city I easily get between 10 to 11 6. This car spoils the driver. People who loves driving carefully, won’t enjoy any other car for sure because of its luxurious interior

I have been driving this car( Turbo-Top variant )since 8 months as of now. Not a single issue till today. These cars are made for driving enthusiasts specially the turbo one. I can compare the driving dynamics only with the Germans. I congratulate myself for buying it every time I sit in the driving seat.

Negatives 1. Steering feedback is a big issue, there is a big 'play' in the steering which is irritating 2. Average for 1.5 CVT in city is only 6-7 kms/L. Have the car since 2021. 3. Electronics/ infotainment system could have been improved. AirPlay is not wireless either. 4. Rubber band effect on acceleration/ uphill driving.

You basically have poor choice. Taigun GT Plus Edge with 1.5L TSI or Seltos X-Line 1.5L T-GDI are far better options in this segment. They have class, reliability and reputation.

Hello sir, I have bought astor manual top model.. I am quite happy. It does turn heads, people notice when it pass through. Even mileage is quite decent, I am getting 12-13 kmpl in city and 18-19 kmpl on highway which is really good for such a heavy car. But I have a issue sometimes while putting first gear esp after reversing or while climbing a ramp it tends to partially disengage which causes wierd sounds in clutch. Does anyone else faced that issue?

Nicely listed the pros and cons... I have been in gcc around a decade.... These MG, BAIC, SAIC, JAC came for attractive price cars with tons of features... They all came with 6 years warranty... People bought on falling on features and price but on longterm they had lots of issues in engine and key components... Moreover no resale value.... Not only these even American cars chevrolet on engineering sharing(SAIC motors) released captiva and groove like our Suzuki and Toyota rebadge... So people need to think on engine reliability is the key not the features... Even Current hit Kia and our India's middle class dream Suzuki (apart from jimny that had a separate fan base) were one tier above these... But they had reliable engine Kia (becoz of hyundai) & Suzuki only for engine.... Kindly try to capture long term user review of MG...

I test drove Aster today. Everything is good except pickup. It's laggy even in manual transmission. I didn't like gearbox also. Brezza has best manual gearbox.

I have the Astor turbo and it is rock solid even at 150kmph, although I don't recommend those speeds but you can get an idea that at highway speeds of 80kmph to 120kmph it will be very planted. Plus there are all 4 disc brakes, ESP, brake force distribution etc. Keep the windows rolled up for more stability on the highway.

I got my car in Feb 2022 and in June I noticed that a small piece of rubber had chipped off of the right front tyre- obviously a manufacturing defect because the car wasn't used recklessly. I informed my service centre. They asked me to bring the car over. This was at about 3.30pm. By 4.30pm I was at the service centre, they looked, clicked a few pics asked me to wait a while (gave coffee etc while I waited) and by 6 pm they got a new tyre, fitted it and I was off. I did not even have to pay a penny. If that isn't great service, I don't know what is. Overall I haven't heard of any negative feedback about any MG dealer in India. The best part is they make you feel at home.

Rear Suspension is too soft.. rear passenger ride is very bouncy on rough roads. A more stiffer suspension would be better. CVT sucks.. no pull at all with full load. Low mileage.

@@1502abhijit My brother has the top Savvy Turbo AT trim of this car and it's been a year. The car wasn't starting last month although it's been serviced twice and the fuel he uses is top class Shell V Power petrol. Service center said it's possible, keep trying repeatedly. After repeated trials with the start button the engine turned on finally. Not sure when on the road these Chinese engines will fail. Poor chap, lost his money on an unreliable machine.
