MAJOR CONCERN: The charging flap/lid on MG Comet that covers the charging port is NOT locked when vehicle is locked. It is always open. Just push the lid and it will expose the port. Anyone can misuse this and damage the port. I have the Plush model and could not ever think that MG would do this. The ZS EV's flap is locked when car is locked, then why not Comet's??

Yes it’s major issue! Someone may definitely misuse. Hope they fix in facelift versions I asked in showroom even they don’t have any answer for that. I will update if I found the reason but as of now i think it’s for some emergency purposes..

My local MG tech said its related to battery but I am not satisfied. Why ZS EV has a lock then? He had no answer. If you open the flap, you can see there is a latch inside (right side of charge port) which seems like a lock for the flap. But MG India has not used it. I dont know why. Now I will always be worried. Do let me know if you find a solution to lock the flap.
