MG HS Hybrid: Owner Review (After 1 year of ownership)

I bought an HS Phev in 2021. Now have 45000km on it. Not a single issue. The software updates have improved the minor info entertainment centre. Still a bit slow, but perfectly fine. I tow a large trailer (5x7 with a ramp) with it and it is no problem. The suspension is a bit softer than the non EV versions which is one of the reasons I purchased this car because we live in the country with "shit" pot holed roads in NSW. Agree with everything else mentioned. It really is a good well balanced vehicle. Originally purchased for the wife, but to be honest it is the most popular car in the family with everybody grabbing it if they can. The other thing is that it charges off a standard 10amp power point. Takes 5 to 7 hours so no problem charging over night using the cheaper rates. You can get another cable and charge at 7amps from a charging station or a hotel etc. But for home charging, you don't need the extra expense of installing a home charging station. Also closer to the mains your charging point is, the slightly quicker it will be. We are currently charging via a 30 metre extension lead as we renovate, so I suspect we are losing some charging efficiency in terms of time. By the way the car is actually built in Malaysia as are many of our modern cars by very well known brands. And, yes we would be happy to have another MG HS Phev based on our current very positive experience.

awesome review and info on this vehicle. i am looking at going from my MG EV to the PHEV as i do way more distance than the ev i have suits ,( 51KW) agree with Farmer autovillage support that is given

If you put 91 in it, it won't crap out if you make that mistake. You don't need to drain it out. But 95 is how it runs at its best performance.
