I see in later videos that you have replaced the heater matrix housing with an "aluminium" unit in front of the battery. What is this and who manufacturers it?

It’s an oil catch tank to allow the engine to breathe better. Check them out on eBay

@@mgmidget-thebirthofaraceca4349 thanks for the quick response. Where does it plumb into, and if for my road MG I keep the heater matrix can it be mounted elsewhere, in fact didn't I see it in another of your videos by the screen wash bottle?

plumbed in to the crank timing cover and the rocker cover. very early on i had the heater in but removed it about half way through the first season

Just a thought, are you allowed to have an open overflow from the expansion tank for racing and sprinting ? I just have a recollection that any overflow needs to be collected so it doesn’t get onto the track for obvious reasons.

Hi, i’am afraid by the water hose touching the heat shield. Wasn’t it allowed to put an aluminium radiator?

Yes Charles, ive reached the same conclusion as you and will be moving the water hose. not sure on the alu rad. will be an upgrade in the future if possible. Thx for comments and support

@@mgmidget-thebirthofaraceca4349 , i’ve put an alu radiator in my frog, 1275 cc, old non cross flow rad. 15 or 20 less degree F. Just a chinese rad, 180 euros. Just modyfied the cap pressure spring to get back to original pressure. Worth every penny
