I really appreciate your work. I have a 75 that is going to need work in the foot well soon. Seeing how you are tackling a much more involved restoration is a real confidence booster. Salty Ontario is hard on our old cars.

Thanks Kelly. Repairing the rust in these cars seems harder than it looks. They are very basic but one thing can lead to another. I chose to strip the car all the way down but you wouldn’t have to do that. I am originally from Ohio so I understand how hard the salt can be on a car.

It's ok to use a Cheerios box to make a template; just make sure you don't eat the cereal. You're becoming a real pro at replacing rusty metal! Nice work.

Hey Rob, once again your latest video shows your about one step ahead of me and my 66 midget. I've been cutting out rusty metal and assessing exactly what I have to replace. I've also decided I'm going to replace both sides of the floor and outer sections of the support beam with jacking points. It's remarkable how similar our cars look. Mine was originally BRG too. You are tempting me to post some videos ( which I have not done before) so we can compare notes. Anyways, keep up the good work!

What are your welder settings, I can't seem to find the sweetspot to get a good weld, I'm either too hot or too cold.
