For how long one has to pay for baas. Let's say, one drives 1lakh km in 3-5 years and has already paid the cost of battery, will be be charged per km indefinitely or the loan for baas gets over by that time?

You missed one point, after 1500 km, no battery rental (3.5 Rs/Km) for that month. So only, 1 Rs/km cost after 1500 km. and even 1 Rs/km is free for 1 year. wonderful scheme, especially for cab drivers.

Negative : MG has officially said this scheme is not open to cab drivers / fleet owners / commercial vehicles. Only for private users..

Waste Hai Chargingke appointment lo Nahi hai tho paisa dho non MG hub charging station ko 1500km fix per month ... kya matlab nahi chalaye tho. Rate including battery batau aur katama karo yaar janjat. BaaS till a tenure should be there.

If u invset 16950 in as sip every month after 5 yeears if the fund deliver 15% average return u will get 15,20,000 rs....if the return is 20% u will get 17,50,000rs... 15-20% return for mutual fund is actually possible...

Ye toh Halki seltos se bhi badi lagri hai...Baas is actually a good option. It save on the upfront cost and get a decent car for 10-11 lakhs. It's a good option for those who want to test out an EV without a big investment.

Majorly speaking : it's restricted to the 1st owner. Also, incase of any accident, the battery should not get damaged. Else warranty will not cover it (insurance can, as per insurance terms)

windsor start at 13.5 lakh . interior space is far bigger inside windsor even more then creta , seltos no comparison. and tata ev are not that reliable too many complaints.

Nice explanation @bunny, but with new financers whom we have never heard off and it sounds odd why would renowned banks aren't backing this scheme. If we sale the car after 5 years, then the second owner have 3 years of battery warranty left, in that case what's the point in selling the car, better take the buy back offer from MG, but then do we need to buy another car from MG or can we get the 60% value in form of credit to our bank account? The savings can be even more than what you predicted because of 1st year charging will be billed to MG directly.
