Well, I was hoping my clutch's old rubber line was the root cause of my transmission not able to shift out of Neutral with engine running. It wasn't.
But in this video I replace the Clutch Slave Cylinder and the clutch's rubber line.
I apologize for a clip near the end where I set up the camera to start the car and test it, but my camera shut off. You don't miss anything as I was unable to move the car, but you did miss a beautiful start, nice running engine, and exhaust note. But you'll hear them in the future. So here we stand after a day's work, but still cannot shift into gear with the engine running. Such is life sometimes. I enjoyed the work I did today. It was a good experience.
More fun on that transmission issue in the future...

Hi everyone, it turns out my clutch disc was stuck to my flywheel. I made a youtube video of the "unsticking" procedure that I used. It worked on my second attempt which the video attempt was not successful. Sorry about that.

If starter solenoid is old replace it, where it clicks together it stuck together and heated wires and started melting

I thought it was a stuck clutch like you it is worth checking i could get a good clutch at night and in the morning no pedal

Check the line from the clutch master to the slave ,i replaced clutch master to slave could not bleed found a small leak in line behind heater box

Hello John, thank you for your comments. Sound advice, especially about the sneaky line by the firewall. I don't have any leaks and she's shifting great. I no longer have the clutch sticking issue as I used the "momentum method" to unstick it. I made a video on that too. I'm glad I replaced the slave cylinder and hose. My hose looked like it had atherosclerosis. It was falling apart inside.

Hello there. Thank you for commenting. In the video I have a jack stand under the right-side frame rail, and I leave the trolley jack in place under the front crossmember as an extra safety measure. I also have a concrete block under the right front tire as well. But I appreciate the good, safety advice!

Hi folks, this may be a minor point but there's a standoff (about 1/2" in diameter) on the slave cylinder. Well, it actually is not a standoff but more of a locating pin. Only after watching my own video did I notice a round recess on the transmission which is there to mate with the raised area of the slave cylinder. This explains the extra play in the slave cylinder's bolt holes. See 18:05. So I'll just loosen the two bolts (slightly) and make sure the protrusion on the slave cylinder engages the hole. Then re-tighten bolts. 😊 UPDATE: I was wrong. There's no recess in the transmission body that the raised area of the slave cylinder locks into. But there's a raised cylindrical platform (boss/standoff/protrusion) on the transmission's body, that's simply there so the same feature on the slave cylinder rests upon, thus keeping the slave cylinder at the optimum angle.
