In the mid-70s, I had a ‘65 and a ‘67. Later I had a ‘59 MGA. Loved every one of them. I’ve been keeping a ‘91 Miata on the road for the past 22 years.

@@MW-lq8hr Why sorry? You know what they say about NA Miatas right? A NA Miata is a MGB that works. I grew up with MGs Bs and As, Triumphs, Sunbeams, etc. While they were fun they were a pain in the ass to keep running. You could never just turn the key and go.

@@redmr2na I have owned five MGs since 1971 (1963 MGB, 1974 MGB, 1975 MGB, 1977 Midget, 1980 MGB LE). I never had much trouble with any of them, except for my 1963. I now own a 1975 MGB that’s been retrofitted to 1974 standards, except for the rubber bumpers (ride height lowered 1 1/2”, twin SU HIF4 carbs, front sway bar installed, emission gear removed, Peco exhaust system, etc.). I can always get in mine and go. Proper routine maintenance and they go just fine, including the Lucas electrical system.

My first car was a ‘64 MGB.it got me hooked on British sports cars. It was followed by Two Austin Healey 3000’s, three Spitfires and I’m now restoring my ‘67 Sunbeam Tiger...all Fun!

Nice car, would love to have it. However, 3 things i noticed; 1. steering wheel is not original, 2. the headrests are from a late 70's model ('72 headrests were 'fatter'), 3. as noted the grille is from '73-early'74. Despite all that the car looks great, congrats.

You have the wrong front grille, should be recessed one for 1972.

Spot on! you have no doubt spotted the trim on the front edge of the bonnet remaining from the recessed grill

needs BLACK&RED MG grille badge. far better appealing, & period correct, unless that was a very late 72 (w an early Black&Silver 73 MG grille badge) car.
