Could these resonators be used to make a cigar box resonator mandolin? Or could you point me in the direction for a resonator that would work?

what I need is a demonstration of how to cut the neck for the dog bowl, how to brace the cut neck, and how to attach the neck in the resonator guitar. this aslways gets handwaved away in instructional videos.

How about publishing a video showing how it sounds? This video is 2 years old. I think you've had enough time. Shane Speal and CB Gitty have put out a few of them over the same timeframe.
