Love MGB. Mike’s ukulele kits are an amazing value, and for $40 and a decent box (like an Oliva) you can build a uke that can sell for over $100. Everything ships quickly and he sells value, not junk.

The trays are covers for pickups. The pickup wire goes through the top of the guitar and the cover goes over the pickup and you screw it down to the top of the sound board.

OK, that nice box will work with that soprano ukulele kit you unwrapped. The template locates the bridge relative to the neck/fingerboard. Need a deep socket to tighten the nut to get the neck on, but you will have a nice uke!

Hey Del, I’ve used the flat single coil pickups from MGB and they are easy and sound great. The five Dalla make it Holla sounds great too. MGB has great stuff. You got some awesome stuff there brother. Can’t wait to see what’s coming. 👍

Drill a little hole in the box just big enough for the wire. Pickup sits on top with cover over it. Cover holds pickup in place.

I use mostly all MGB parts. I’ve always gotten good service and the parts work well. You will have fun experimenting with the different pickups. They are all good in their own way- even the 5 dolla make it holler:) you’re a lucky guy to get that box of swag! Hey Dell that is not a lipstick........it is a copy of Fenders hum less single coil, which is really a stacked humbucker! I love those! Put it in n the neck position. Wow

The flat pickups just sit on top of the box,you drill a hole for the wire to get it inside the box and the covers go over the pickup and screw to the top of the box to hide the pickup and wire

Hey Del! I have used MGB parts a lot, I like them and I like Mike! I think it was brilliant of him to seek you out with a surprise gif pack! (Good things come to those who wait?) The others are correct in that the little extruded covers cover the Pup, and a small home for the wire to pass into the box. Yes you are correct the heavy steel slotted plate would be used with the longer neck I believe that the Uke neck will support with only carefully drilled hole and the washers. Happy building! i know that you will like the Pups! The chrome slender one is Telecaster Neck style, not lipstick (ala Danelectro). You are set to do a lot of Magnetic vibes with that cache of Pups! Hi Del, Seems to me you need to drill an appropriately siized hole close to the HB P/u, thru the CBG top and so that the lovely P/U cover can cover up the wire entry to the secret sound container that stores the lovely and coveted good vibrations and electronic paraphernalia so the rest of us can share in your good fortune. There covers over top of the pick ups that sit on top of the box . The pick would be under the cover against the box

You lucky so-and-so Del! Xmas came early for you! Flat pickups for surface mounting on top of the box, (to save slotting the box and the neck), something I desperately need for my CBG, but they don't sell them over here in England, and it costs an arm and a leg to get them shipped from the USA (CBGitty?)! You've got some work to do, to get all that stuff assembled and wired inside that magic, sealed wooden box you have there! Cheers all, and take care!

Take the wire on the flat humbucker to a spare contact on the 3/4/5/ switch, I've done it with a 5 way switch I've got a Peizo on one, double humbucker and a rail on another
