Preston Rutherford LDA is one of my favorite albums. The title track and when you die had a similar dark psychedelic feeling. Maybe we can get something similar for a whole album or even a concept album like this single, one can only hope.

It's complicated.. Lol. I'm sure I. Their personal life, it's not all sunshine as with everyone else. However.. The period we live in is losing it's spirit. The spiritual famine is here. Hence our little dark age. Everything lost it's charm. I think the music is representative of that. Back when we were teen/adults these truths were doubted. We still had that "I'm invincible feeling" yet something was missing. Now as adults we see the strings on the puppet. Learning our dreams are irrelevant if the spirit is lost. The dying you speak of could be the loss of this.. The meaning of life. Or I could be wrong. Their songs always seem to represent dealing with life's changes or lack there of.

To me this perfectly catches the flux of depression. When twinklings of peace and joy emerge with spiritual potency only to pass into echoes again, and after it's been circled through enough times even bliss feels transparent, with dark emptiness sighing behind it. How a song says all that without saying it is incredible.

@@aquilesvicente26 You don't know shit. This is what true post-punk/gothic music sounded like in the 80s/early 90s. We're talking about bands like The Chameleons, The Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, The Cure, The Sound, The Bunnymen. I could go on forever, you get the point. Honestly man, it's not about the image it's about the soundscapes and mood the music sets that makes it "gothic". That shit just got out of proportion in the 90s with dudes like Marylin Manson (who were actual garbage musically) that people now associate with "Gothic"

It sounds as if in an effort to be open minded you've become as frigid as the system you intimate to be black and white.
