@@kmm2442 It's well documented that they wrote the song to make fun of pop music. They hated the song and didn't want it included in the album. When they performed it live, they had to distract from how bored they were with it, so they swung ropes around, brought up fans, and generally distracted themselves from the song their obvious boredom with a song they loathed.
