The second half of this album really blew me away. I hope you get to react to Congratulations at some point. It’s unlike anything they’ve done.

Easily my favorite MGMT record. Think it’s unreal. Will never forget listening to Nothing Changes for the first time. Bawled my fucking eyes out without even really knowing why?

Dancing in Babylon is soooo good, though, I LOVE that they are just embracing that sort of cheesy sound

@@benjadamona shame not many people seem to like it…I love the cheesy nature of it akin to their pre-OS stuff.

I am kind of obsessed with this album right now. For me my favoriite albums are this and Congratulation then Little Dark Age then Oracular Specatular then the self titled. The writing on this album once you start analyzing it more is just really really well done and super impressive to me and I am around the same age as they are and it just hits different because it's about getting older and death.

I absolutely love this album, and glad you checked it out. People in the Streets and Nothing Changes are both incredible. Nothing to Declare took some time to grow, but now is one of my favorites - I love how it transitions from this light groove at the beginning to muddled anxiety towards the end. Definitely one of my favorites of the year so far

Dancing in Babylon, nothing to declare, nothing changes, and loss of life were my favorite tracks on this 8/10 album!

One of my favorite electronic projects, thanks! (although I prefer other albums) And what about *M83?* I think their third album *Before the Dawn Heals Us* is just awesome! I'd be interested in your opinion... You might enjoy this mix of post-rock and electronica.

I really recommend listening to a full Christine & The Queens album! „La vita nuova“ is just fantastic!

Enjoyed your reaction immensely. I love MGMT. My favorite album of theirs is the self-titled which probably puts me in the minority but man I genuinely love almost all the songs on there (not to be different yk). I am also loving this album too. I thought Dancing in Baby wouldnt grow on me but man does it got me feeling now.

25:46 i am pretty sure thats a reference to the song The Joker by Fatboy Slim, my mind was blown on the first listen, i still dont know if im right or if i just have a tinfoil hat on me, but i am so sure it is.

Probably one of my least favorite MGMT albums but still a great record. It just has less songs I come back to regularly. And I prefer their more electronic albums.
