It's funny how music goes through cycles in which Synth Pop like this is a throwback from the 80s. Clothing styles and fashion trend the same way. My dad noticed the other day that 70s style hair do's are trending now in 2022.
@grungepants Жыл бұрын
Yeah that's true let's see if 70s style music comes back as well. Maybe it will in rock music, like post punk and punk are becoming a bit more trendy now.

I'm feeling rough, I'm feeling raw, I'm in the prime of my life Let's make some music, make some money, find some models for wives I'll move to Paris, shoot some heroin and fuck with the stars You man the island and the cocaine and the elegant cars This is our decision to live fast and die young We've got the vision, now let's have some fun Yeah it's overwhelming, but what else can we do? Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute? Forget about our mothers and our friends We're fated to pretend To pretend We're fated to pretend To pretend I'll miss the playgrounds and the animals and digging up worms I'll miss the comfort of my mother and the weight of the world I'll miss my sister, miss my father, miss my dog and my home Yeah I'll miss the boredom and the freedom and the time spent alone. But there is really nothing, nothing we can do Love must be forgotten, life can always start up anew The models will have children, we'll get a divorce We'll find some more models, everything must run it's course We'll choke on our vomit and that will be the end We were fated to pretend To pretend We're fated to pretend To pretend Yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah

Strange. I saw that performance and I don't remember it being like this at all. Are you sure this wasn't Austin City Limits or something like that? Edit: OK, I get it now. I didn't know Letterman had hour-long shows featuring only live music! Their performance at the tail end of one of Letterman's regular shows (when the song first came out) was much better than this one.

@111whitepony111 They said they never actually took any of their music seriously (just go listen to kids quartet) and it was all just for fun, but it started catching on, and it was pretty much just a hobby for them, so they made sarcastic music. But i mean, they are the artist, so they are the ones that make the music, and all of this is them trying to find themselves, and i think they just realized later on how silly their first album was. but i still like all their music
