MGS2 Speedrun -

Played on PAL PS3 Fat (CECHH04), with DualShock 3.
Game is MGS HD Collection, PAL disc version, software version 1.00 (no update).
NG++ (3rd round), no game over on sight. The loading trick* was used up to the sniper segment with Emma.
Played live on / mgslade .
Some stupid mistakes as usual but the run was smooth overall, I'm happy with it. Also, thanks Strafe ;)

I like to believe that this kind of play is canonically how the games happen, especially because with the level of not giving a shit snake and (atleast in the games after this) raiden have about the actual challenge of the enemies or situation besides maybe a time crunch outside their control.

no matter as you here the alert is count i remember i was doing my big boss run on mgs4 i went through the door where act 1 end there was a guard there the alert sound for like .2 seconds still counted and had to go back the the very start and try again cause of the fraction of a second fucked it up

have to say, i've gotten the wigs/bandannas but i could never get past the Ray fight on Extreme. I used a similar 'choreography' in the fight that you did (knee/ mouth/predict etc) but could not carry it off the way you did. Some cool tricks insofar as the 'freezing' multiple people and simply running. Anyway+1

You’ll notice the patterns like if they are frozen for more than 3 seconds it’s either a reset or they’re fixing to shoot missles But easiest way to play is to shoot and move. Shoot and move.

+Matas Pierdomnico first you want to throw some stun grenades so the tengu go down. here is the important part press agaainst the door and first person punch punch kick. in an enclosed space like this raidens back will be forced into that small room causing to go into that room. hope it helps - via YTPak(.com)

Kenshi Kenshi Thank you! Yeah, I already figured it out. The problem was that I used to let go of R1 too early. You have to let Raiden do a 180 on his kick animation before you let go of R1. I also got the Big Boss rank :D
