Well, killing the skulls on Extreme is pretty hard, if you use nightvision goggles and smokes though, it can be done pretty easily, they can't see through the smoke.

To S-rank that one I had to use quiet as a decoy, drug myself with all thoses parasites stuff and go wild with the most powerful sniper riffle against the skulls... I even had to throw code talker to stunt guards and it took 2 hours for me. Now I'm frustrated

they take less damage, get to you faster and kill you in one shot. And if you manage to take them down you will have wasted a lot of time and probably have a combat alert too, which means less points. Also when you take them out the soldiers guarding the mansion won't turn into these puppets, and these are easier to get past once you have Code Talker on your shoulders. Best thing to do in this mission is just ignore the snipers, get the old man, charge past zombies, extract, get S rank.

Not sure actually. I believe when I played it that I used the tank the first time because I was new to the game and the second play through I stealthed it. Brennan makes swiss cheese of everything though :)

Beating the Skulls makes the soldiers go normal, avoiding the Skulls affects the whole mansion environment on having zombie-like ones. Plus, the Skulls will be there trying to snipe you after you get the C.Talker.

Sorry for the late reply, but the own ZRS radio chatter says it "Alert! The mountain Team has been taken out! All units on guard!" They know the parasite unit has been taken out so they rush with enough manpower to stop somebody that could stop those women (gunship, a tank, several heavy units...) But if you Dont take them out, they will turn the rest of the enemies into zombies due to the mist

Just shuts Code Talker up so I can run to the exit instead of walking, lol. It's the same experience as far as enemies are concerned, doesn't gimp in any way. Gives me a lower score because of the no retries bonus, but that slow walking part is just annoying to sit through.

"No traces" means no traces Big Boss being at the AO. An enemy saying "yeah, I saw a shadow dashing away for half a second, it could have been a wild animal" wouldn't really qualify as traces of there being an infiltration, let alone there being traces of ir being Skane that was there. Neither does holding someone up, as, yeah, the guard knows something's up, but he never identified Snake, there's no hard proof of if being Big Boss who was there. Besides, I guess he could have thought it was a prank (or just because game logic, I guess?). Look up the criteria for "no traces"

No traces is violated by all actions of CQC against all humanoids and animals (NOT skulls or Quiet, and this includes hitting people or animal with D horse or D Walker, and bumping into people), all use of firearms (including throwing magazines), all forms of support other than calling in the pickup chopper (dropped weapons etc.).

When I s ranked the mission where you extract viscount, I started the mission and just rode up to the little box he was in, and while the guard was turned the other way I picked him up and ran outside the hot zone. I completed the mission in like 2 minutes, but I didnt get no traces even though the only thing I touched was d horse and the viscount. I don't even think the guard radio'd that a prisoner was missing

@@tylerlackey1175 Picking someone up and having guards alerted to missing prisoners doesn't count as CQC or an alert to your presence. A missing prisoner doesn't count as proof you were around

+dxmakina I was wondering that too but then i remembered code talker likes to keep yabbering on after the cutscene is over which forces snake to walk, the checkpoint restart seems to stop this, so snake can sprint from the get-go therefore saving time

lol just did this mission today, got Quiet to nail 3 out of 4 then she died and got extracted. Couldn't get the other one to uncover herself so I went up in the jungle and fought her with the machine gun, just shoot randomly at the trees like saying where the fuck are you you spooky bitch till she showed up and nailed her in the head with her own rifle and died.

Eh, enemy FOV is kind of clunky sometimes. And he was crouching. And we don't know if they were looking right at him, or do we? Crouching down and moving slowly makes a great difference when it comes to concealment or camo index, I suppose. I don't know exactly how it works, but I am willing to bet you don't do either, so we can't tell for sure what happened here. Also, to the "no reply from the cheater" guy. The video was posted years ago, while this comment is about a month old as I write this. If you need me to explain to you where I'm going with this, you can go fuck right off

You DID do your homework and see that it was a blatant reset before trying to call me out, right?
