I love how Raiden has time traveled multiple times. First time when he tried to kill Big Boss to claim the protagonist spot for MGS4 and a second time to help Big Boss on his mission to eliminate the body snatchers.

0:05 Funny how Venom Snake is there. At the time of GZ I just innocently thought it was the medic. This shot is part of why I never questioned that the camera never showed the medic's face. I figured he'd just be masked like everyone in Peace Walker.

Maybe this Kojima could be sneakily trying to input the idea of time travel to either reveal a big twist that future Raiden has manipulated certain events, or could maybe lead to a whole game where Raiden tries to fix the MGS story line to prevent so many people from dying and so many bad events from taking place, of course he probs won't be able to change too much, but it would make a hell of a plot for the remakes and a new game for Raiden... maybe to take off on the philosophy he learned because of the events of MGR. Although... of course, nowadays hope for something like is almost impossible considering what Konami did to the legend himself...

i did fail the trial, but the ranking screen gave me no combat alerts, no kills, and an s rank. I like keeping bits of improvisation in some of my runs anyway.

I’m not sure. I know that Glaz and Palitz, the two targets in the mission eliminate the renegade threat could be extracted on to your base, but I’m not sure about any others. I’m pretty sure that many of the guards you extract are transferred, but they are generic and hard to distinguish from each other.

Thanks, yeah I’m pretty sure that’s how it would work. I’m pretty sure that there was a companion app on phones that you could transfer soldiers to. It’s sad they discontinued the ps3 and 360, the online components are fun in the game. It’s weird though, because I’m pretty sure the Peace Walker servers on ps3 are still up after all these years.

It’s not canon, all side op missions say that they are “pseudo-historical recreations” (like at 0:40). Some of them seem more plausible then other, but this one with all the time traveling and body snatcher shenanigans is one of the… lesser believable ones

At 15:50 you can see that it says 0 Combat Alerts and 0 kills. It isn’t called perfect stealth in this game, but it is in The Phantom Pain so I just call that in this game.

Perfect Stealth in GZ means that you have not been spotted directly by the guards during the mission.

Exactly. If your asking because there was a combat alert after the helicopter came, that is a scripted combat alert sequence that, to my knowledge, is unskippable. It doesn't count against perfect stealth either
