MGSV- S Rank Farm, secret to finding S rank staff

I found a little trick to help with this one. Scan the puppets just so you know if they are close to A++ or higher, stun them and kill the others to avoid hitting the cap and screwing yourself. No need to worry about the Demon points from the kills as the puppets count as saved people so you'll basically keep yourself in a balanced place. And if you kill too many and you are becoming a Demon replay Mission 25 and fulton all the kids you'll go right back to good snake and earn loads of Heroism.

Recently completed Code Talker again after beating the game. :) I did as you said and everything went just as you had said. :) Unfortunately I think Konami may have patched the upper limit on how many puppets that are available with no respawn. O.o I extracted three skulls' members as well and my grand total was 69 total extracted. I am very happy that I have increased my levels so I will repeat it again after work. :) Many thanks for all your helpful advice. :)

If you get to Hero rank, you can also farm S Rank soldiers to S+ rank with the affinity system. It's also a good idea to take any S+ rank soldiers and run them in the field for a few easy missions to get them a second medal.

I know I’m kinda late to the party but a little trick once you hit the cap of 99 fultons. You can just run to the edge of the hot zone and it will complete the mission. Neat so you dont need to count every fulton.

WRONG about the "being fucked" thing! I ran into this too, BUT you CAN extract Code Talker past the limit by exfiltrating him out of the hot zone. The only fuckup you can do is dying or having code talker die lol.

I can't see any chance in killing Code Talker that way, unless you got the left one skull sniper; just shoot her down, cause you are already overloaded with soldiers and dont want more puppets.

When you do 50ish extract you can put code talker on the chopper and keep extracting without worriyng, the chopper can't run out of fuel since it's scripted for the story that you get inside

Still works October 2021. I'm sure someone already mentioned it in the comments but you can make this mission even better. Once you're among the zombies, you can collect but be warned that the last sniper skull chick is still out there. If you can kill her, EVERY zombie stuns and the farming becomes even easier. At that point you can just extract the ones you like statwise. The way I play is with Infinity Bandana and maxed Stealth Camo. I call in artillery strikes on 3 of the 4 snipers. If I feel like it, I may extract some of the regular guards. Then go to Code Talker. Afterwards I'll have him hang tight while I mess with and extract zombies. You'll first encounter them behind the mansion. The last sniper may show and if so, I order an air strike on her too. Then it's happy farming. There are way more stunned zombies in the forest of the first sniper battle, the place is littered with them. You can go hunt for the last sniper in the woods but I find her easier to find behind the mansion. Be careful leaving Code Talker for too long as he may clip into the walls in the mansion. You won't be able to get him out and can't complete the mission and lose all that work.

@Wilfred Wayne part of the fun about the game is that there are so many ways of doing the same thing. That said, when I'm out farming things in the game, I'm not really "playing" it in the sense that I'm doing things the way they were meant to or giving myself a challenge for fun's sake. Nope, I'm exploiting unintended loopholes within game mechanics just to gain things like higher ranked soldiers more easily than having to play FOB missions. So raining artillery bombs on the Skulls just to not have to "snipe" them and shorten the time I can farm stunned S soldiers just makes more sense to me. I'm not bothered with saving resources or GMP (in game money) cuz I farm for that too.

Tried the fob events get fucked every single time without any hope. When I played on PlayStation I was finding lots of s ranks out in the world on Xbox I've maybe found 5 and I've completed everything.

@Wilfred Wayne that sucks dude. Your Hero level determines how many S ranks you find. Only thing I can think of would be to spam the Cluster Guided Missile and other explosives during the "Skulls Attack" FOB event to rack up points and just buy S++ and S+ guys.

Man that was awesome. Probably you can disable the HUD info displayed so you can maybe skip the end missions screen to get directly to the individual soldier info screen but disabling the HUD info will most likely disable to display the headshot counter.

Best thing about this method is that you can get 40 s rank in one go along with more a++ rank. I did this mission twice and was able to get 83 s rank staff, 94 a++, and probably 70 a+. I don't usually exact anything lower than a+ because it helps with knowing you can finish the mission using the helicopter method, but getting a vehicle and using that to exact the old guy is much cheaper.

+Mike Messiah One more Correction Probablity of higher level troops defends largely on you Heroism level. The graph you made didnt consider that fact that your heroism level kept growing over time which increased the chance of getting higher ranked soldiers. My theory is proved by most offline players(and pirates) who are stuck with Motherbase and no extra FOB. *They were maxed out from early on, yet they kept getting higher level soldiers as they kept playing on and on*. And that's because of their heroism level. And according to some people on Reddit...after 300k Heroism the chances of getting S rank remains constant (not proved 100% yet) Anyways, nice video ...

Fantastic video. I had a fantastic first run where I got 60 S-class staff, my second run I only got 5. My base/staff level is only 350 which probably made it a bit inconsistant. A note to everyone lol. The game levels up with you, so doesnt really matter lol When I play my game now, 19/20, ill find an S+ on any mission I play, the lowest being As. That was after playing for a long long time. Main point, enjoy the game, farm later.I got caught up with that part of the game, I ended up taking each mission way to long (I usually take everyone). Roled with tranquilizer sniper rifle with silencer attached with stun 203, and sub weapon is rifle tranquilizerw/ 203 stun (lol), then rocket punch. Last time I played was a 2 weeks ago, which was funny and annoying. Last time before that was 2 weeks more. When I played 2 weeks ago, my recruits went down ALOT (LOL), no shit, overall I only have rougly 500, and I believe I had max 250 each. Not really coming back anytime soon, until MGO comes out Oh yeah, just in case anyones wondering im playing on PC lol

+MaxBlight the grid that displayed the chances of findind s ranks corresponds to your total base level, not by your progression. this info was detamined from the PC version. unless you have definitive proof you find S ranks when youve done absolutely nothing to your base. If you are leveling up your mother base along with your fob and gathering enough people to level them up, you will find more s ranks eventually. There is no evidence to support your claim that it would "level up with you" meaning no matter what you do as long as your far in the story youll find S ranks. Also the S+'s you find arnt S+'s but boasters but regardless they are still S ranks.

i just found a way to get as many as you want another way, somewhat slower though. go to Eliminate the Wandering Puppets 02 at Nova Braga and extract all but one of them. use the box and ship anywhere else. go back to Braga, and repeat. when youre done, go to a checkpoint. just dont take out/extract the last puppet i'll pop a video up sometime or another, maybe. not too crazy on the whole making a video deal though its a good time taker

Great guide! Maybe now I'll finally be able to get that top tier Brennan Sniper Rifle I've been drooling over for ages now. :) Assuming the problem with not being able to extract Code Talker after hitting the cap hasn't been patched by now, could you just put him in the chopper as soon as you meet up with him and then go back and start grabbing soldiers? That way, once you hit the cap you could just call in the chopper again to get yourself out or leave the mission area on foot. Just a thought. I haven't done this mission in a while though so you might be required to leave with CT as soon as you put him on the helicopter. Can't remember.

Can't you put code talker on the chopper and then go and extract all the soldiers?

When you sneak past the Skulls, pick up Code Talker and end up with puppet soldiers, would eliminating the remaining Skulls also be another affective way to knock out puppet soldiers or should I extract all the soldiers first?

Wondered if someone asked but for Fulton amount would it matter if you put 3 in a Jeep then Fulton them. Would that count as 1 Fulton or 3? I haven’t seen that mentioned in the comments. Answers probably buried in there somewhere.

i think it counts as 3, theirs a limit of 100 staff you can fulton pr mission

Today i played free roam and actually it wasnt hard to find S soliders or A++ soliders for me. I got 2 S rank staff from eliminating heavy mission and 2 S staff from outpost.

I will try this for sure, but I can't seem to get out of the upper 70s on staff rank, mission 22 retake the platform is a good one to farm on as well.I've unlocked pretty much everything but level 8 weapons, witch is pissing me off! I S ranked every mission and completed all tasks, just wanna level up..
