*This replaced a smaller Keurig that I owned for 6 years **MyBest.Kitchen** I wanted the convenience of the water receptacle and while this unit is much larger than the previous one, I'm very happy with my purchase. The only downside to this larger model is having to move it from under the cabinets to place the pod and refill it. I was able to rectify this by purchasing glide mats for small appliances. Now, it's perfect!*

Hi great video thanks. I don’t need to descale my coffee maker as I live in a soft water area. So can I skip the descaling and just do the cleaning cycle or will the calc light keep coming on.

I think the descaling is worked on actual number of drinks you poor, which is usually I think 300. After that it will want to be descaled what you could do is put the Diskin hold the button for three seconds and let it run through a descaling process, but you don’t need to add any de-scaler in to the tank. Therefore you won’t have to rinse it afterwards that will reset the Machine will be happy for another 300 drinks.

Love your video but I think that you will find that to start the descaling process you can press the Calc button for 3 seconds 🌻

Since I had my Tassimo myway2 used over by December 2022 - August 2023 which it is over by 9 months, I noticed that the CALC Light was flashing and so then afterwards I bought some of the BOSCH Descaling Tablets to help solve that problem and then I got my jug filled it will 500ml of water and plonked 2x Bosch tablets into the jug, leave them to do there disappearing act lol 😆, Then once there gone I poured the Descaling Water into the tank where I see the CALC Fill Line and then afterwards I put the tank in the machine and held the button to 5secs instead of just once as the myway2 goes into a (Descaling Mode) after like 25mins of it chugging and pouring out the Descaling water into the jug, once I really gave the jug a really really good rinse through and so as the myway2's water tank really gave them a good rinse 3x times to get rid of that Descaling residue of the tablets, afterwards I rinsed the machine throughout the clean water 5x time to ensure that the descaling water is fully out of the myway2's pipes from the inside, Once that's done the CALC light light is gone off, my tassimo myway2 is happy again and time for more lattes and coffees on the machine once again 😊 🎉🎉🎉.

Hello, Do we have any other substance that can be used in place of the tablets? There isn't ones sold in my country and I have to wait a few weeks for the order to arrive. I just want to do the descale process immediately. Can't seem to wait until it arrive.

No it shouldnt say thta. To reset it put in cleaning disc, hold tear button for 3 seconds with just 2 cupfuls in the tank. Jug under normal cup position. this will reset it in 5 minutes.

That valve is magnet , to remove the filter , remove the lid and pull out the filter and associated plastic , you can use citric acid , or white vinegar to to descale the machine , had to mine recently which is odd as the previous tassimo I had didn’t need a filter or descaling in over eight years , I do live in soft water area .

@@mgtracey Not really! I have assumed that the process takes a maximum of five to 10 Min. So I've not expected it to be 20 Min. at all. I'll try to do that again and also let you know a little bit shortly after. Cheers

Very informative and helpful. You tell us the Bosch descaling tablets are expensive. Quelle surprise! Rather like HP printer inks, it's a rip-off in my opinion. So, make it a cheaper experience: fill your jug with 250 mil of white vinnegar; add 250 mil of filtered water. Off you go with the descaling routine.....It's a similar routine to our washing machine where, Calgon tablets are a huge rip-off, and where I substitute them with a run through descale with a small bottle of white vinnegar on an ordinary washing cycle....

Two options just dont replace the filter leave the tank empty of it. Or if you wiggle the black lid to the right angle it comes off which allows you to reove the remaining clear plastic water filter housing inside the tank - Paul

I think it’s fixed at about 300 cups. Nothing Scientific about it. Run the cleaning cycle just with water to clear the red light .

Hi mate, i am about to descale my MyWay tassimo for the first time. Ive used to have an older tassimo and it say to remove the filter section before you descale. I went to do this on my myway machine but the bit it sits in does not come out due the lid but i see you don't have yours in. Is there a way of getting it out?

Refill the tank and redock it . Make sure tank is correctly fitted .

A lot of KZbinrs do suggest white vinegar but it invalidates your Bosch warranty and in my experience can leave an aftertaste in the coffee stick to the Tassimo descaling tablets to be safe
