I still disagree with watchful waiting in MGUS patients because it's not just multiply Myeloma that is a concern. These doctors know what is occurring, and what the consequences really are in the end. I could very well be one of these MGUS patience with constant nagging back pain for well over 20 years, pain in my right hip, my right femur hurts more, I've already had serious thyroid issue, high calcium in my blood labs, as high as 13.3-14.2 on average when my blood calcium should not be over 10.9? I also noticed I am constantly extremely fatigued.

Thank you, this is very informative. Unfortunately, "watchful waiting" is a bit misleading: Waiting to do... WHAT, exactly ? MM has no cure that I am aware of; chemotherapy is just torture.

My husband is 34 , he has multiple mieloma , we would like to have a second child , but we fear to ! We have preserved sperm before chimio for this reason , buuut i would like to know if is there any kind of risk my childern enherit this desease , if so i stay with one child , preventing other problems in the future , although we really would like to have this second child . Please its esential for us to know , what should we do ?

I would not have children I myself have MGUS but I know it's progressing to MM I told my children it may be wise for them not to have children the world is a ugly place also if I knew I was gonna end up like this I wouldn't of had children. How is your husband doing?
