7* Rathian, still gets almost entirely Rank 1 materials. This game is ridiculous with the drop rates, no wonder I'm finding it so hard to upgrade anything past Rank 3 😂

yes, rare materials are harder to find in this game, because it's hard to find monsters of the correct stars and the base number of drops without breaking any monster parts is only 4. I like to do more damage on the finishing hit if I have the opportunity to charge my GS so that I might break a part by doing the overkill damage. That's the benefit of using GS. Qe can try to deliver a massive damage on the final hit even if the monster only has 1 HP left, so that there is a chance of breaking a part and get 1 more material 🤣 Thank you for the support and kind words! Hi there! Did I do any crit hits during this quest? I can't tell because I have never had affinity in MH Now hence I have never looked out for crits in this game. If I did do crits, then it could be a perfect dodge thing I guess.

hello! you only use GS? do you recommend the elementary GS? i'm only with the barroth one at the moment but i don't know if it would be good to create the other elementary GS. could you give us some equipment for the GS? greetings and good video!

Hi there! Yes I only use GS. I recommend elemental GS because they do the most damage when the element is matched to the monster's weakness, but I also understand that it's very difficult to get the materials you need to fully upgrade every elemental GS. Hence, Barroth GS as a high raw damage GS can be very helpful for fighting most monsters. Personally, I use the Jagras GS a lot as it has higher raw and lesser water damage and I am able to use it to kill monsters that are not weak to water damage, Hence, I think you can prioritise upgrading your Barroth GS first but if you have the chance (the materials and zenny) to make and upgrade elemental GS, then you should do that too. My suggestion for equipment for GS will be the same one that I am using: Pukei Head, Pukei Body, Paolumu Arms, Rathalos Waist, and Jyuratodus Legs because they give you focus and some defensive skills. I am mostly a defensive player so I prefer the health boost and divine blessing skills that they give. Thank you very much for the comment! @@CasualHunterFelix excellent! as far as I can see, as we advance, other GS weapons appear, for example the water weapon (jagras) and then a water weapon from the jyura appears... in that case you continue with the jagras? or you will also raise the GS water weapon from the Jyura?

@@dgstp93 For my case, I am currently saving Jyura materials for Jyura leg armor, which is important for me to get 2 levels of focus in to make a total of focus level 5. After I have gotten my Jyura legs to the stage I want, I might then make the Jyura GS 😊

Nice fight again! I have a question. I use pukei GS 3 5/5 atm. Is it worth switching to barroth or should i upgrade the pukei further or should i stop with both and start upgrading the Tobi-Kadachi and Jyra GS for elemental. I could do the Anja to but i want to wait for Rath for fire since Resources are hard to come by.

Hi there! I haven't used the pukei GS before so I can't tell whether it is effective as a general weapon or not, but I can see that it has higher raw damage than most elemental GS and I personally use my Jagras water GS as an all-purpose GS because it has higher raw (but Pukei GS has even higher raw) and I find that I am able to kill most monster who are not weak to water using my Jagras water GS, although some can be quite difficult to kill. So I think that using the Pukei GS as an all-purpose weapon is feasible if you understand the monsters movements well enough. But again, I haven't used Pukei GS before so I cannot be 100% certain. @@Kaisel66 Yes this is true. Matching elemental weakness deals the most damage! I currently only has water and thunder GS maxed out. Been trying to build a fire and an ice GS but materials and monsters are hard to come by.

How are you so good at perfect dodges? What are you looking at to time it?

I got quite lucky in this video 🤣🤣 But after fighting the same monsters a few times, I will get a sense of what the monster is going to do and how much time is the interval between when the monster glows red and when the actual attack hits me. So I try to look at when the attack really hits me with the knowledge that the attack isn't a new one to me. Something else I found is that, when a monster is doing a really long attack, such as a rush or a row, if I dodge into the attack, I get a perfect dodge too. This happens around 70% of the time I dodge into a long attack. Hope this helps! Thank you for the support and kind words!
