This was fun to watch. The use of the scroll swap is perfect changing from TCS to Rage slash mid fight so you can counter the attack and super armor through the second hit but recovering health with malz skill that was cool. Makes me want to try GS but i think i'm too used to hammer and gunlance

my main weapon in sunbreak was DB, now that I killed everything I trying to learning GS e Bow, that run was clean and pretty insightful for me thx, GS was my second most played weapon in World but the Rise gameplay is too dif so didn't help much that previous experience, same for bow (my most used in world), having to relearning both and nothing better than watching people who know how to play them for it

​​@@azure4622not really Furious Rajang is as fast in Sunbreak as he was in Iceborne, he actually has now faster recovery after some attacks in Sunbreak. Speedruns just tend to make Monsters look slower than the really are. it will only direct to TCS if you strongarm stance while charging. in that specific moment they werent charging when they activated strongarm stance so it only did a normal charge

You'd need to play the game to feel the "weight". Don't worry it ain't like Dante's Inferno where we feel like we're just slicing butter. TC prolly had focus on max so it felt like it took no time to charge

That's an observation I see often regarding Rise, this one indeed feels different compared to earlier MH games, but the weapons still do have "weight", it's just everything is insanely faster to make the ninja theme work. This hunt looked extremely easy, but that's just a pro player doing pro stuff. Because I wasn't used to the controls and pace just yet, I got my bum handed over to me by a normal Arzuros, of all things (one of the first quests in the game). The maps tend to be slightly bigger than in past titles (except World that I can't compare since I didn't watch enough of it) and are seamless, except arena-style maps that are rather small, you can wall run, you can explore maps freely to farm without taking a quest, and you can have a dog/wolf that you can take with you on missions and that you can ride to move faster. In short, it's Monster Hunter done fast. Not everyone liked that, but if you usually like the huge monster bashing, it should be fine, it's mostly how you had to track down the monster that changed, but the main fights remain challenging and brutal.

I apologize for not understanding this, but at 0:29 and in many other instances, it appears that the strongarm stance was followed up by a regular charged slash instead of a TCS. How is this possible? I thought only a TCS followed up a counter.

Is it just me or does Rajang look massive in Sunrise or is this one in particular just big as hell? Compared to World I feel like most Monsters in Rise look rather small in size or in proportion to the Players. But this Rajang is the opposite.
