Not that much for CB, I used Rathalos CB for Fire weak monsters and had to drop Rapidmorph for all core skills, there's no much difference if you don't abuse that silkbind guard, it still good tho

It's ridiculous how easily Charge Blade can do a ton of elemental damage with AED. You broke both cutwings within the first minute of the fight by doing hundreds of damage with AED.

I didn’t realize just using aed is the way to go? I often go for the saed and whif 70% of it. Is it just back and x to cancel into aed? This looks super efficient and want to try to incorporate it!

@@milescatalan994 Yes but you have to make sure the timing is right. You could also just hold down and tap x multiple times as soon as possible.

It seems they buffed the AED, and Savage Axe is still powerfull. I wonder, is SAED still viable? In Iceborne I was not such a fan of Savage Axe, and only used it in rare occasions when the monster was KO. I hope you can choose to play CB the way you like without loosing damage output.

SAED spam builds are still very much a viable route to take with Rise CB. I’ve noticed from the speedrunners that do make SAED builds, they’ll usually use Axe Hopper (for obvious reason) as well as Condensed Element Slash since it can directly influence the total damage of SAED. Also, with the Counter Morph Slash, SAED spam is made even more valuable. If it’s okay with Kahlan, I can send you a video of a speedrunner using SAED against Magnamalo

Also, I’d like to point out his build could use a lot of touching up. There’s a comment that showed his build in English and he doesn’t even seem to use load shells but still got a pretty decent time, also you’ll notice that his spacing and positioning are on point, which is key to SAED spamming

@@darklordowa7419 it’s not always downwards btw, and you also have to press the attack button (X) right before you swing to do it. You have to pull your stick in the opposite direction of where your character is facing, which most of the time means down but not always

The armor skill bombardier is for explosive items. The armor skill Artillery increases Impact phial damage and Gunlance shells. The food skill Bombardier does increase explosive damage from phials and shells.

That’s one of the unlockable switch skills that lets you swap out some parts of your move set for others.

In a nutshell, with that switch skill you lose the ability to charge you sword for extra phial damage and minds eye and in exchange you gain savage axe mode from iceborne

I have not tested Crit element, it's really hard to fit in a build atm without losing affinity. Also this would only apply to Axe hit, maybe for a future spinning slash run.

@@ensanesane cpp is spammable since its cooldown is short enough, you spam it and fill your phials, that move should cost 2 wirebugs imho

CPP is good and is intentionally designed to do what it does. That said, to call guard points useless is hilarious. Counter Morph Slash increases the phial damage of an AED or SAED by 25% after a GP. That's ridiculous for elemental phials, and has led to situations where a single phial from an elemental SAED in this non G rank incomplete game is pushing close to 200 damage after a CMS GP on a zone with 30 elemental weakness. Guard points are for from useless. Even more so if you use Axe Hopper, and yes there are Axe Hopper speedruns.
