MH Rise Sunbreak Hazard Primordial Malzeno (Insect Glaive) - 6'22 (TA Wiki + No Qurio) PS5

i got the run out within about 2 and a half and it's very sloppy especially with the last phase. the record for this guy on ta is 4'54 which i will never get. I will try to do a sub 6 run after a bit more practice. this monster really shows you at how unsafe diving wyvern can be on some openings and forget shagaru being insect glaive's hardest ta Matchup. this completely takes the cake. the most annoying part is trying to aim for his body when he does his teleports in the last phase. if i got that the first time. sub 6 would've probably been mine. im still happy with the run and will continue to keep improving. thank you for watching.

his phases where he's not powered up can be annoying. diving wyvern is easily punished if i get bad monster ai from him or don't have intrepid heart active. primordial is a beast lmao

Picked up Sunbreak again after about a year and just got to Primordial Malzeno. That fight is Nuts, but you pull it off like I only wish I could 😄

yes i do all my runs w/out augments. and thank you! helicopter style is fun on certain monsters. i like it for amatsu and valtrax the most, but i mainly just stick with kinsect slash. but if you enjoy helicopter, keep at it my guy :)

This is legitimately so impressive, and I'm trying to get at least somewhat good. I beat hazard after 4 tries and i just beat him again but in both runs I fainted twice. My best is 25 minutes; it's crazy how good you are meanwhile I was abusing farcasters and whatnot. I'm wondering if you have any build tips for IG (particularly dragon) cause I'm not great at making those sorts of things.

What's the move you use when you "counter" Malzeno's attacks and then you lunge upward in the air? I've seen this move multiple times in the hunt and it's amazing.

it's pretty good! it's a chill way to hunt monsters and not have to worry about hitting pin point accurate diving wyverns all the time. it's viable for ta wiki category atleast

that;s just my opinion. it's mainly just due to that stab and sweep wing slash he does. if he does the wrong move he can punish diving wyvern pretty easy. im looking into AKA for the next couple of run, but idk if it's the best for primordial. also huge fan. you and tosaka were some of my favorite insect glaive runners. you guys pretty much inspired me to start doing runs. also thank you for watching

@Pragles thank you! I appreciate that! I'm sure he does too but we don't talk much anymore:p I agree with the counter issues! Especially in phase 2, if you dodge at the wrong time, it's 1 shot over and over 😩 your opinion is valid my friend 🤣 the only reason I think he's a bit easier is because you can still work the fight 100% grounded whereas rsm will fly around and dive at you or does the blast columns in the field. You got it! I'm probably not going to pursue many ta wiki runs at this point but I'll give it a shot to see if I can offer any help :p

it's a feature of the alucanid kinsect i was using. those little rainbow powder clouds you see give you back 20 seconds on you buff timer everytime you step through it

Still trying to adapt to Rise after over a thousand hours on world, I have a question: How does your insect always attack along with you on every tetraseal slash? I noticed mine only does it when it feels like it lol

you have to be running one of the assist kinsects. you can buy them at the smith.

you don't need evade window to activate bladescale. its mainly for comfort. you get a small amount of invincibility with your rolls naturally.

Is elemental insect glaives any good? I heard players just using nargacuga glaive all the way... I wanna craft all high elem weapons like the old mh series😭

yes, weapon augmentations gives like 53 element and alot of element skills like element exploit, strife, Mail of hellfire, etc have been introduced making element very viable for a good amount of weapon in master rank. i would say if monster has atleast a elemental weakness of 20, its good to build for element. anything under that you would ideally go raw, but don't take everything i said to heart, there's alot of variations with monster matchups and weapon. sunbreak has brought alot of variation in terms of weapon usages

In arena stages they give you a rainbow bird which gives you all the life and stamina from the get go. I wish there was a rainbow bird in every stage.
