When pukei eats food, it alters his Poison spit attacks depending on what it eats for as long as it's storing them in the expanded mouth. In the arena, the pukei was eating scatternut, which you can see causes little aftershocks on it's poison spit attacks as the nuts burst on impact. They do the same thing if you pick them up and fire them from your slingshot

The top row of armor and weapons in the smithy is used for getting to the DLC early, don't use them

Actually, lore-wise monster hunter universe would be a pretty great one to live in actually. A VAST majority of humans in the monster hunter universe live their entire lives without ever seeing or encouraging a large monster, despite much of the world economy and resources coming from hunting All the previous monster hunter games take place on fringe towns/fringe villages, cities that are on the very edge and frontier between human territory and the wilds. But basically living deeper in human territory all the dangerous large monsters have been hunted out Most people in the universe outside the fringe towns view hunters as weirdos and eccentric brutes. Despite the dangerous wildlife, you'd likely never encounter it as a civilian unless your were unlucky and born in a Fringe town World is different in that instead of a fringe town it takes place on a guild research outpost on an entirely different continent I'm a hunting horn main btw

U should not use the defenser armor . It was meant for people who want to speed run directly to the dlc (same for the weapon )

​@@TrueSquareFace even tho you are a veteran of MonHun you should drop defender becouse it will hold you back from learning THIS GAME and give you some bad habits. You'll have problems with high rank monsters and Iceborn will hit you like a train. Also, as you are playing LS remember that it has this one cool jumping move when weapon is fully charged. Didnt see u use it here, not sure if it was a thing in previous games
