Akiko Inferno Getting Kelby this time around is a lot harder. I did it and I have a good set for it. Pellet up+, Awaken, Bomb Boost+trap Master (single skill), Attack up S, and Status Crit+. The idea is to maximize the damage on it but it still feels weaker against alot of mobs but against some it's REALLY strong. Seltas Queen in particular is really weak to blast so Kelby Bow wrecks her.

Cool idea, but it's possible that the blast shots themselves have been nerfed from 3U since we can't see the amount of blast they do. Maybe do 3 runs with blademaster sets in each game?

Using melee weapons or bows would make it extremely difficult to do consistent runs, since they do raw damage to the monster while only proccing blast on 1/3 of the attacks. Not only that, but you'd also have to find a weapon in both games that is the same weapon type, has the same raw, and has the same blast, which would only further complicate things. Blast shots work well here because they do little to no raw damage, eliminating that part of the equation for both hunt times and weapons used for the runs, and proc blast every single time.

MeowImAShark I'm aware. That's why I said 3 runs per each game to get more accuracy. Yes, the raw would be a complication between both games, but it's still possible blast shots inflict a different amount of blast in this game than in 3U.

You can't get an accurate estimation when the chance of dealing slime is 1/3 every hit, regardless of if you repeat the run they will likely have completely different outcomes

So slime takes about twice as long to kill and gets half as many explosions. It's a shame at how crippled it is. I think the nerf should have been less. Although really, was it necessary to nerf it at all in a co-op game?

Jared Smith In my opinion slime is still more useful than any element during a quest. Even if it doesn't do the same damage, the explosions have a staggereffect on the monster which is quite helpful.

Alexander L MH3U war um einiges besser, allein die Grafik zur Performance.. Und die Atmosphäre war auch richtig geil! Das einzige was mich im Prinzip an 4G gehalten hat, sind die neuen Mögichkeiten durch die neuen Waffen und Monster.. mehr auch nicht. Die Umgebung von 4G sieht btw für mich aus der Mülltonne geholt aus.

Ich bin durch 3U komplett durchgerannt in 150 stunden, und es war das einfachste MH das ich gespielt habe (MH3rd, MHFU; MH2) Hingegen ist MH4U besser von der Story her, schwerer, hat interessantere Gegner, bessere Gegnervielfalt, nicht diese behinderten Unterwasserkämpfe die absolut unbalanced waren usw...

Fabian Saam Hauptgrund weshalb ich MH3U besser finde, ist, dass ich lieber auf einer Konsole spiele, als auf einem 3DS mit einer dazu noch lächerlichen Auflösung. Beide Spiele haben meiner Meinung nach ihre Vor- und Nachteile. Das System mit den Kanten und Klippen in MH4U finde ich beispielsweise sehr störend. Die Teilweise recht undynamischen Bewegungen der Monster, z.B. wenn Khezu seinen Hals verlängert. Sehr viele Monster die sich Stunlocken lassen (Tigrex, Rathian, Rathalos, Rajang, Kushala Daora, Teostra) Einfache Möglichkeiten zu Cheaten/Hacken, die es in 3U nicht gab oder erst spät möglich waren (DLC via Proxy Server, Powersaves, Custom Quests). Ist natürlich ein Kritikpunkt mit Vor- und Nachteilen. Grausamer Chat, den Online Modus hätte man besser gestalten können. Meiner Meinung nach fast schon zu viel Content. Während ich mir in 3U noch eine Übersicht verschaffen konnte, fällt mir das in 4U sehr schwer. Mit jedem MH steigt auch die Anzahl der möglichen Skills/Skillpunkte. Ich finde hier sollte man langsam auch mal eine Grenze setzen. Ich muss zugeben, ich hatte zwar meine Quellen um immer auf dem laufenden zu bleiben, aber wirklich intensiv beschäftigt habe ich mich mit 4U nicht und ich denke bei MHX wird es nicht besser werden. Das zeigt sich natürlich auch an der Spielzeit. Während ich in 3U mit über 2000 Stunden das Spiel komplett verinnerlicht hatte, kam ich in 4U mit ca 250 Stunden nicht mal dazu die Movesets der Monster auswendig zu lernen, geschweige denn mit Chargeblade richtig umgehen zu können. Ich spiele das Spiel momentan nur noch um weitere Videos raushauen zu können, die Motivation aus 3U fehlt mir in 4U gänzlich. "Ich bin durch 3U komplett durchgerannt in 150 stunden, und es war das einfachste MH das ich gespielt habe (MH3rd, MHFU; MH2)" Wenn man sich die richtigen Ziele setzt ist kein MH einfach, zumindest im Endgame. Es gab auch in MH3U einige Monster (Event Brachydios, Event I. Lagi, Event St. Zinogre) die mit Lv.140 aus 4U vergleichbar sind. "Hingegen ist MH4U besser von der Story her" Hat mich um ehrlich zu sein noch nie Interessiert. Wenn ich ne gute Story will schau ich mir irgend einen Film oder eine Serie an. "bessere Gegnervielfalt" Mehr Gegner muss nicht unbedingt besser sein. Je mehr Monster es gibt, desto weniger kennt man die Bewegungen/Angriffsmuster eines bestimmten Monsters. Ein weiteres Problem sind die Subspecies. Es sind Teilweise Monster dabei, bei denen ich mich frage, wo der Unterschied zum Original liegen soll. "nicht diese behinderten Unterwasserkämpfe die absolut unbalanced" Ja diese Kämpfe waren bei vielen Spielen verhasst. Finde es dennoch Schade, dass Monster wie Ludroth, Gobul & Lagiacrus den Sprung in MH4U nicht geschafft haben. Aber ich denke dass ist wohl auch der Steuerung zu schulden. Selbst mit New 3DS und zweitem Stick würde man hier Probleme mit der Steuerung bekommen.

sam midul thats not right, the shots also do a bit damage and I felt like the shots in MH4U were a bit stronger when analysing the video frame for frame. I wanted to show in this video that the explosion damage in both games is nearly the same. It just takes much longer to get an explosion in MH4U, even with the critical Status as bonus skill.

Es ist schon schade da mh3u so ziemlich meine kindheit mit mh tri war (btw die einzigen teile die ich gespielt habe außer mh4u demo und world demnächst) zocke mh3u heute immernoch da ich die monster einfach nur cool finde und die steuerung auch. Ja klar, die Auflösung in MH3U war auf dem 3DS die Gleiche. Den Unterschied zwischen 3DS und New 3DS bemerkt man mMn sowieso nur im direkten Vergleich. Ein bisschen schärfere Texturen, schnellere Ladezeiten und in manchen Situationen stabilere FPS.
