One of my mh4u memorable moments (I was P2, P1 was a player I was regularly hunting with) : P3 joins, full white fatalis, G1 P3 : Salut P1 kicks P3 Repeat with several attempts of cheaters trying to join the room, all French. P1 : French players are annoying. They are always cheaters. P2 : False. There are french legit players. You just don't notice them because they aren't speaking French to avoid the cheating stereotype. P1 : Well, I haven't seen one yet. P2 : I'm French.

"Quéte" isn't the translation of "Quest". It's "Quête", this might seem like a minor detail but that tiny accent changes the pronunciation a lot. But if you say "Quéte" you take the accent of Saint-Etienne in France. Very small detail but I thought i'd let you know. Other than that the animation is awesome. And that guy, my god... Cero Balam Admittedly, the core combat from 3U didn't change a whole lot to 4U, other than new weapons and a larger focus on verticality(a damn good change, though). From what i've seen in generations/cross, it really is doing a lot to mix up the gameplay, with the different styles and arts. If it's everything it's hyped up to be, it'll be worth the buy.

Close. It literally means 'I am mounted!' But Monté is such an amazing character idea, bit stereotypical, but certainly on the hilarious side. [if you'd like to see how it relates, v. (verbe) Monter is 'to mount' and the past tense in French involves either personal pronoun and either the personal versions of 'être' ('to be') or 'avoir' ('to have'). For 'Je', or 'I', the 'to be' part becomes 'suis', for 'tu' ('you', 2nd person familiar) is 'es' etc. The appropriate past tense verb to use depends on the verb/adverb etc to follow, with the status-based ones usually using 'to be' and the others 'to have'. With mounting being a status, it takes the 'être'. Finally, one needs to move the verb/status to follow into the past tense, where the '-er', '-ir', '-re' suffixes indicating different classes of verbs, get replaced by 'é(s)', 'ée(s)' depending on the personal pronoun. Je suis monté, ils sont montés (they are mounted, normally 'ils' is 'those men', but usually generalises to 'they' for mixed groups), elles sont montées (they again, but if the entire party is female) etc. And here's an example with 'avoir': Est-ce que tu as fermé la porte? (Is it that you (have) closed the door?)] I'm not sure about the latter example, it'd be appreciated if a French person gave it a check :p

what you were "expecting" was the very first draft I came up many many months ago, but stashed in the backburner of things. (hence lost episode) I decide to go with a much nicer approach to play in conjunction of the new game release anyway.... bonus info,. The final scene was actually the main idea in the first draft. it plays out where monte wants to heal himself so he takes out a table, and gets his kinsect to serve him a megapotion in a wineglass (its kinda playing on the flexing joke) only to be look at by the other hunter weirdly... his table gets smashed also. but yeah, the first draft was building on the final scene as the main plot...

More peeps need to watch this. My first day of online play in MHGen. The game amazes me. But so far, the online community I met was childish... leaving without words whenever they feel like it, pushing throuh their quest... we can do that better!

I am sick of the stereotype we have gained in the community... You dont know how irritating it is to get harassed online for being French... You know, no frenchies halls and things like that. *Edit from the future:* Coming back here, Tensions seems to have died down over Time, and i am gratefull to the community for that. Honestly it's all cool now but when i started playing, oh man what a nightmare.

well, playing since gen1 online, I dont have an issue with french players or random people being in the hall in french, but unfortunetaly French players are amoungs the oly ones that had the habit of speaking english the whole time with no issue but once a second French player joined they refused to speak in english at all and spammed the whole conversation with something the rest cant understand. not saying you all do this, but no other people did that as often as french people did. so its not a recent issue. luckily, I know enough french player to say, it is a comparetively rare issue and frowned upon most fellow countrymen as well

Might be because most of them just spam mouth constantly and fuck everything up. I've only played with 2 good French players, we are talking god tear charblade players shutting on 140 apex jhos by themselves, other than those 2 absolutely everyone alse has been shit, with completely random sets that make no sense, attacking monsters during mounts in 4 ultimate, waking monsters up during sleep runs, glaive jump attack spamming and failing the mounts you name the fuck up I've seen them do it. Mostly kicked them for a while, I always gave them the one hunt try to see if they could hunt normaly, other times they just realise how hard the f up and leave by themselves.

I am french and i play well : i did solo all the G rank quests and i now try to sub 5 minutes quests... But you're right , most of frenchs dont play well

Most of the other French guys besides me that I met online where...kids I believe. And Insectglaive is a very popular weapon for our kinsman. But sometimes I find someone French who knows what he/she is doing.

Yes in France we like Insectoglaive but french hunter are much better than u think ! I bet for instance I can beat you easily in arena 1 against 1 :p

Coming super late but as a french, the most tiring thing is having a non english-speaking frenchie and english players. You have to constantly change languages and translate for both sides if a discussion with one part gets too long and the other part wants to know. ^^' Nevertheless, it's really nice being able to speak with everyone and with Rise coming up, I hope we can all have fun hunting. Good luck to all ! (though we hunters only need it for the desire sensor)

(french writing here) It's really funny and, actually, quite accurate. In France the game didn't really sold to the right demographic because of how the advertisement has been made. So most players ended up being kids of 12 to 14 years old (kinda like call of duty and GTA, actually those tends to be the same kids) that think they bought an "awesome action packed game" and ended up with a farming game. So a lot of them tried using the insect glaive because it's fast and mounting is strong and thus simply spam it without any boost, and failing because the game is actually hard. Worst they also tends to get carried by other poeple so you can even find them in G rank. And last point, when you are on french forums it's actually obvious every time a non-translated game is out, it's like you killed someone if you say "I don't mind if the game is in english", and a lot, and I mean A LOT, of player don't bother speaking english even if they know it. But in monster hunter case it's because, as I said, it sold best toward dumb kid and that's not because they don't want to speak english, but mostly because they can't (I even seen case of player don't even finding how to open the chat, and not only french) The game has been a niche game, sold poorly in France, so they tried to convince the public to buy it, and it ended up with this. Still a funny video thought, the "je suis monté" are a real thing.
