Also just gonna say it, the Heroes seriously should've lost a few members. It's ridiculous that all of Class 1A and 1B who haven't even finished their first year of High School are dragged into a war against the worst criminals in their world's history and NONE of them die.

100% at the bare minimum Gran Torino should’ve died. He had a hole in his chest and he’s like 70 years old.

My main issue is how the series sells repeatedly that the villains (minus afo) will be saved... then uh... yeah... they all failed, then timeskip.. then yay the world is great now. lmao okay why did we spend any time getting to know the villains idc if nobodies have a great life now
@chideraumejiaku3895Ай бұрын
They didn't fail to save them The world isn't suddenly great now

You are not wrong, but you are not right. I’m assuming that the person believes the fact that all of them except for spinner who pretty much got ignored Too much in my opinion Are dead means they weren’t saved. I don’t know what The person was talking about the world being perfect. The ending of the story was pretty much just them heading in the right direction.

I think what they was going for was saving them before they died. So they was finally seen as the humans they are but still had to undergo the consequences of killing hundreds of people

You make some points, and you are of course entitled to an opinion. However, a lot of those points are moot, and I believe I can disassemble most of them. Firstly, you said about character development. Did you not pay attention to Bakugo? He went from mercilessly hating Midoriya to an emotional apology for everything he's done. That's character dev right there. Shouto Todoroki - goes from being cold and apathetic to realising the fire quirk was his, not his father's, and free to use. Shouto's dad, Endeavour, was probably the most character developed of the bunch. He went from using his children as weapons to realising he must protect them at all costs, to the point of isolating himself from them so they can be happy and heal the rifts caused by him. There is so much character development between the cast. Second, if you can name an entire class from Naruto, you can remember Midoriya's class. That's you admitting you couldn't be bothered to remember them, which is silly. Deaths - there were more than you think. Midnight's death had a lot of impact on people like Mina and Mineta, it's literally what drives them to give their all in the following battles. Before that was Sir Nighteye in the Chisaki arc, a death that haunts -Lucas- Mirio to the end of the series and still had a lot of emotional weight attached to it. Also Shigaraki disintegrated his entire family. Yeahhh... You're right - you can't complain about people dying then coming back if you're forgiving Dragon Ball for doing the same. It's double standards. I liked most of the training arcs. It gives a foundation on "these guys became stronger, here's how". In all fairness, I can see why people didn't like them, as there were a lot.

I hate the way modern manga are using the "school" trope. How do you have a story like MHA and they don't pass class one. Jujutsu has the same problem. Naruto second arc is a "promotion", when shippunden start neji was a jounin. Not saying that naruto is perfect, but at least time passes there

I don’t think Id go as far to say is the worst modern shonen, but the fall off is definitely insane. And the “we became great heroes” thing just kills the mood.
@thefanwithoutaface8105Ай бұрын
I agree the series had a lot of potential it simply didn't live up to. Izuku could've been an interesting character had they explored him trying to be a hero inspite of not having powers, only to shoot the premise in the foot in the beginning by giving him the literal strongest power in existence, yeah he had to work had to master it but eventually not only does he do that but also gains a bunch of other bonus powers as well. Also doesnt' help the series rushes past a lot of things that should've been developed like the Corruption of the Public Safety Commission, The various types of discrimination those with different quirks faced, give some more depth to some of the Villains, and other ideas. Horikoshi started with some strength but by the end he just rushed through the story to get it over with.

@TheYoungFan0Ай бұрын
I feel like you could’ve done more here than the usual 2014-2019 MHA hate “criticisms” because I do agree that this series is garbage and has issues, but it seems that you’re missing like the meat of arguments, and didn’t really care about the series. You never really voiced on why the series wasn’t good and most of your criticisms, while valid don’t really have actual reasoning behind them. 1) “1A is boring!” while that’s a opinion that you’re valid to have, you never really explained why they sucked outside of the basic “they don’t do anything” or “no depth” which can be said for any other shounen that you’ve listed, this is where you should have explained on what makes a good side character for you and what not. 2) Calling the High School stuff “filler”when the story is called “My Hero Academia” is funny. Sure you can dislike the school stuff in the story, but calling it filler is just idiotic reasoning. Especially when your “reasoning” doesn’t have any reasoning. 3) The “immortal” part is funny because you forgot that Twice was killed before the final arc, and didn’t even bother to mention Toga, Nighteye, Stars and Stripes, and Dabi the three of which also die as well. A story's quality isn't contingent on how many people die. 4) I’m not sure why you dislike the “we become the greatest heroes” part because that’s one of the major theme of passing the torch to the next generation throughout the series, especially after the fall of All Might You see how heroes became over reliant of All Might throughout his reign as #1 of Japan, then once he was forced into retirement, society begins to show cracks in the system with one singular pillar. So in the final arcs of the series, Horikoshi shows off that 1A becoming the new pillars of the new Japanese hero system after the events of the final arc. Stuff you didn’t mention that you probably should have: - Villains - Worldbuilding elements like the societal institutions - Arcs after the Overhaul arc Those are least what I’d expect, but you didn’t provide them. So unfortunately I’d have to agree with some of these comments that this video stinks

the fanbase isnt what makes it bad mha is one of the best new gen in terms of manga and anime and has sold many copies and in the end of the manga deku is known not only in the show but out of most superhero shows as one of the most iconic heroes and is shown to be like spiderman and batman and many others in terms of being a hero. theres nothing bad about mha but maybe the fanbase

Naruto and by extension shippudon are not good examples of no filler shonen series naruto is 220 episodes long and 90 of those are considered filler shippuden is 500 episodes long and 203 of those are filler. this is contrast to MHA 159 episodes where 4/5 episodes are filler. what feels like filler and what are filler are two different things.

You are right, there was a lot of hype surrounding this show when it first came out. When I started watching it recently it just never actually gripped me. Lame characters, boring story, I stopped watching after the third arc. If a battle royale arc can't get me interested, then the show has gotta be bad!
