I mean RWBY and Mha are pretty similar in the fact that people have natural abilities that can be either unique or hereditary, semblance and quirks are essentially the same except for the fact that in mha not everybody has a quirk, while in RWBY everyone has a semblance. It's just that there are requirements in order to be able to use it, the most important one being to master the use of Aura, since semblances are fueled by it.

Not to mention that the actual biology of them is different. From what I understand, a Quirk is a physical mutation of the body, while a Semblance is the manifestation of one's soul.

@@richardkirkland6805 depends entirely on if a Remnantian could unlock an earthlings aura or not. if so then it's purely a spiritual thing if not then there is something unique about the humans/Faunus of Remnant like a sort of population wide 'quirk' / 'meta-gene' that allows for the use of Aura as well as the potential to unlock a unique personal power (a.k.a Semblance)

aura is technically a shield, its supposed to protect you, then semblance is like a super power

Aura can also heal but Semblance is technicaly diffrent usage of Aura inform of super power
