Absolutely heart breaking story. Portraying as a mute girl, she acted the life story of a beautiful young woman. Her daughter’s acting is brilliant. Looks natural, realistic. It makes me wonder, do we have to bear anger and hatred towards each other. The way they treated the poor people was appalling. Perhaps when two nations are at war, it’s inevitable the innocent get trapped. This happens to this day. See that little child. Left alone in the world. Great acting. Suffering portrayed well. Please stop hating each other.

I love the discreetly added sense of humour by using a man to act naive. The pig slaughterer. (He owes someone 20 pigs and a favour!). This drama was based during the British Empire days. Well portrayed. That little girl, great acting by her.
