Is Santorini Greece OVERRATED?! Skipping the “lines” during your visit!

I was there in 2008 and I took the stairs down as a faith challenge to myself. I was going through chemo for ovarian cancer and my oncologist cleared me for the cruise with some very stern restrictions. I prayed and met some amazing people who sat by me at the points where I sat down to rest. God had me covered cause I did slip on one the stairs and the gentleman behind caught me. The donkeys are on the stairs, they poop, it stinks and it’s scary at times but I am so happy I did it. I knew in hart that I would beat cancer after that experience. Thank you for a great video. I am trying to convince my hubby to go with on my next Med cruise.

We took a ship excursion which took us to the top in a bus, then over to Oia and then back down. Wonderful. No line. No cable car.

Excellent video. So many great tips for seeing this island that can be a nightmare without proper planning. The idea about Shore Excursions and doing a smaller group really is helpful. Oh that cable car swaying...I felt it just watching the computer screen. Your photography is stunning and you manage the camera and walking those streets with such ease. This is a must see for anyone visiting these islands. Thank you.

Love watching this as a reminder of our time in Santorini this pass July. I took my daughters on a ten day cruise on NCL to Italy and Greece and this was one of the stops. Yea I didn’t like going up on the cable cars.

We have done excursions through shore excursions group, rather then ship excursions. Turned out we went to exactly same place as ship but we had less people. I liked that.

I understand that. For me, when it’s done right, it should be a balance of sweetness with the nuts. It is meant to be a sweet dessert. Some are more balanced than others. It’s not my go to dessert, but it is something I enjoy when it’s not overly sweet.
