Mykonos Town was a huge DISAPPOINTMENT! Exploring the TOURISTY side of Mykonos

Would you take 2 excursions in one day if you had 16-18 hours in port?

One excursion is enough for me. We did everything without a tour at this port. Very easy to get around. We loved it. Food was good.

Frankly seeing any of these port towns with a large group is not going to be enjoyable and group is not required. As for that dinner spot...talk about tourist trap? You seem like a smart lady and would have enjoyed so much more going and finding a nice small table in Little Venice and watching the scene with waves lapping up...that is to me what that port town is..watching the sunset from Little Venice. There are so many people around I think you would have. felt safe. Another option is booking an Air BNB experience or other very small groups that would not take you to the center of the island but would give you a few people to be with. Enjoy Milos....there you do need transport all around...it is a beautiful island. A very informative video and I will subscribe...want to see Milos again...we stayed for a week and loved the island. Thanks.

@@danielbobberson9849 thanks for subscribing! Be sure to check out part 1 of my time in Mykonos. The tour was not like this one at all (booked 3rd party). Somethings you don’t know til you try it. And I wanted to show my viewers how they can maximize their time there (and feel safer as a solo cruiser by taking a ship excursion at night). But I’ll definitely explore there on my own (and have dinner) when I visit again next year!

Totally agree with you, it’s not worth paying for a tour in this island. We did it ourself with a free shuttle, it’s very walkable and you can do it at your own pace. $90 is very expensive!

Yes we did our tours through Viator for our cruise back in July.

Interesting. I’ll look at the other 3rd party excursions. It doesn’t look that big. But you probably have to take a bus or taxi to the first part of the your day to that area?

There is a free bus that takes you to Old Mykonos. You don’t need a tour at all. It is walkable on its own. You walk through the alleys, go to the windmills, and Little Venice.
