The essential thing on this video is that this guy is making this quest with low rank stuff. I did it a few days ago with with high rank gear, namely the full monoblos s armor and the white death double swords (ice element), tectonic jewels and a few pitfall traps. I feel like a Noob seeing this guy doing it with low rank stuff.

#1 😄 #2 😏 #3 😅 #4 Yeah, using sns is actually really useful, the amount of damage it prevents is pretty crazy #5 ゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴ #6 On my first test run I woke him up on accident, you have to be SUPER careful, Rajang goes to sleep and can be woken up like 2 seconds after it, it's really easy to wake him up on accident compared to later games I guess lol. Keep an eye on the yellow monster eye next to your name and the music, when both of those go away, stop attacking. #7 😅😅😅😅 the life of a gunner, I guess, lol. In High and G rank that may get more common, at least in my experience. #8 Yeah, maybe haha, I get pretty lucky sometimes 😅😅😅 #9 haha yeah that was crazy too. Definitely felt that when I was recording #10 😅😅😅 #11 haha yeah I wanted to capture them both and wasn't sure if the body would disappear or what, didn't want to chance it :P #12 :P yeah, I wanted to show off how much damage you can take from him haha, definitely, haha, that's why i got hit, haha 😋😋 #13 Yeah I was expecting the i frames from getting up to last a little longer, otherwise I would've rolled or blocked or something (not sure if you can block that attack but eh) #14 Yeah, I didn't notice it at the time but he dropped rage mode, Rajang can only be put in a pitfall trap when he's gold (enraged) #15 😄 They both have ~2250 health (I think) so it's not... too awful, the hardest part is avoiding so much damage lol, sleep bombing makes it a lot easier, each sleep bomb dealt like 900 damage, so #16 😱😱😱😱😱 😉 good luck, thanks for watching! 😄

Little bit of trivia. Rajang in indonesian means slicing and dicing / grounding / smashing / crushing (most likely onions, garlic, red onions, tomatoes, parsley, leek, or whatever that is related) into fine chops only with a knife. Now, in MHFU, Rajang is the knife....and you are the onion. He will definitely crush you and ground you into a fine dust. He fits the meaning perfectly. I would love to see how many hunters struggle with this monke.

I just beat this today! I’m going through MHFU for the first time with a friend and in between our multiplayer hunts I was doing the solo stuff. I beat this quest with the Diablos lance and ceanataur armor, all low rank, took me like 20 Minutes, no carts. It’s pretty hard but I think that once you kill the first one and don’t have the looming fear of the second one spawning before you’re done with the first it’s actually not that bad. It took me around 7 tries, all of them I abandoned after the first death because I didn’t want to deal with two rajangs with a small health bar ( don’t have max potions yet ) and actually the first time I got to the second rajang is the attempt on which I completed the quest, so first rajang claimed all my failed attempts. It was stressful but those 28k zennys were well worth the effort

@Zack Rezz it’s mostly about not being too greedy, knowing when to shield attacks or when to back hop away, with Diablos lance you can do enough damage to kill the first before the second comes up without needing to be too aggressive...

I'd recommend using a sword and shield, you'll be able to build up the status faster, and can still block attacks to prevent yourself from dying. If you want to block every roar, you can use status atk up if you'd really like, but I like having earplugs instead. The status atk up helps a bit, it'll make it go faster and be a bit safer, assuming you don't get caught by his roars. Remember, with bomber, you only need to put him to sleep twice. That's it. 1 Rajang is pretty bad, two is double bad, geez. That said, I wish all multi monster quests in MHFU had sequential spawning rather than having both monsters active at the same time. Dung Bombs are far too inconsistent to keep monsters at bay (I believe this changed from the 3rd gen onward). Anyway, great job! bombing monkes seems pretty fun.

Yeah, MHFU Dung Bombs don't work if the monster has already seen you, and even if they haven't seen you, it may not work anyways, since Dung Bombs only work on a handful of monsters. It's unfortunate, yeah pretty sure they changed it 3rd gen onwards. In this quest I believe you have 5 or 10 minutes to kill the first rajang, then the other will jump in, but he'll jump in as soon as the first one dies anyway as well.

Read the description and one thing that wasn't mentioned is that Rajang doesn't have high damage reduction anywhere really except the horns. Capcom balanced his speed and hard hits with relatively low HP and (for monsters of similar HR required) low damage reduction and low elemental resist, except for Thunder. Of course that changed in subsequent gens but for 2nd gen, yeah, he's basically the monster equivalent of a glass cannon, which is easy to kill but he is quite punishing to screw-ups. I don't think I ever did this urgent, but I did do all of the high-rank and g-rank quests with friends when I played this in high school. Good job man. Solo'ing 2 Rajang is pretty rough. It was hard for me to hunt a single Rajang by myself.

@@HeadHunter455 They are if you aim to break certain parts which is important if you don't want to keep farming the same monster 1,000 times more than you already have to because let's face it, you're not a true MH fan unless you grind out for all the weapons and armors in the game. Some of the stuff is only dropped if certain parts break, as a rare shiny, or through rare carves/capture rewards.

Well, the first Rajang wasn't supposed to die. I was going to capture them both. After you sleep bomb them twice, they should be ready to capture. Both Rajangs have somewhere around 2,250 health. Each sleep bomb does about 900 damage.

😅😅😅😅 I'll cover him in more depth once I get to him in high rank Something to keep in mind is when its fur changes color it's enraged, and you can't put it in pitfall traps unless it's enraged. That's why he jumped out of the trap that one time. Pitfalls are way more effective against rajang than shock traps, by quite a bit.

Hello i am just curios why did u put the small bomb away from the big ones? Why didnt u put it near the monster so it can deal damage too. I am new in this game i just tried it right now and maybe ill try this method on blangonga monster. It is very hard to kill or even capture it.

I explain it in the description. Only the *first* hit to a monster will deal 3x damage. Large barrel bombs deal more damage than small barrel bombs. If I put the small barrel bomb too close to the monster, it would hit him first, dealing ~60 damage compared to 450 from a Large Barrel Bomb+

It's fine, just be sure to block his roars. To address what WaxWing said, you only need to put them to sleep twice, if you're using the bomber skill.

Yeaah, there's too many hitboxes throughout the series that are waaayy too inaccurate, which is a huge shame. Plesioth is bad, sure, but omg it's not even close to being the only one lol Gen 2 (MHFU at least?) is amazing, but it's not perfect, and the flaws show pretty glaringly sometimes.

Felyne Meal Pass Reg comes from your cooks, I don't know of a super reliable way to get them, unfortunately :( You should just get them as they level up and as you get good meals from them, and be sure to talk to your cooks after every hunt. Most multi monster fights are too chaotic to be worthwhile, you'd spend most of the fight looking for an opening or tanking damage. If they were both in the arena, you'd have to try and use smoke bombs. It's not my favorite mechanic because you have to keep using them, but it works.

😉😉 Bombs ignore hitzone values, bombardier increases large barrel bomb+'s damge from 150 to 225 putting them to sleep lets us get a burst damage of ~900, though I dunno what defense modifier Rajang has in this quest, if any. I'd imagine he probably does. More math/explanation in the description.

I just used Lao Shan Cannon with Death Stench for this quest, and it was pretty fucking simple. All you need is Noemal Lvl 2 and 3 and Shot Mix to maximize bullet crafting results.

I haven’t gotten to Rageang yet in my playthrough but I think another good way of beating this quest with low rank armor is with heavy bowgun, and you basically cheese him into doing the deathbeam attack and blast him to death.
