MHGU: EX Boltreaver Astalos clear Valor Hammer

Never tried EX Boltreaver so decided to shake off some GU rust and give him a go. Could be a lot better obviously (lots of mistakes), but mastering this fight with hammer would take too long for me, maybe one day. If you want an easier time, use valor LS or GS. I am sorry for all the background noise, I have to record from my phone and the furnace was being very loud today and I didn’t realize at the time because I was wearing headphones😔

been used to world and rise, hammer plays super different in this game. Also boltreaver is such a cool monster, nice run as always caolan

I actually like hammer more in this game. It’s more simple than Rise, but the entire moveset is worth using, instead of being carried by Impact Crater. Iceborne hammer is super fun too though, love the shenanigans you can pull off with clutch claw after charge attacks. Just not feeling Rise hammer atm sadly 😔

I love 5th gen MH and especially rise with what it’s done so far in the base game but 4th gen will always be on another level for me

Same man. I know the gameplay is smoother now and “feels” better, but I personally will always prefer the older more methodical approach. I still need to play 4U at some point, that one looks really fun too

Maybe eventually, but probably not anytime soon. Not much free time right now. My work is a lot less busy in Winter/Spring but Elden Ring comes out and I’ll probably just be playing that for a while

Is this furnace used to smelt iron like in Minecraft or what? 😅 Also, I can't even solo EX Boltreaver with any weapon, and you did it with ease. Not even a noisy furnace bothered you, good run!

Lmao! Maybe you have a different word for it. It’s just an appliance to heat the house. Like an air conditioner but the opposite. And don’t worry I can barely solo him. I actually still haven’t managed a no cart run, I always mess up at some point
