I haven’t fought Gold or Silver in IB or SB yet but I absolutely love the changes they gave them. Back in the day, they were just different colored monsters with the same move set. I love the blue fire, I love that they’re so dangerous and brutal. I can’t wait to get to them in SB. Edit: I also love their look. As a opposed to be bright gold and silver like in the past, I love that the colors are more of an accent to their normal bodies.

I farmed the Silver Rathalos to make a full set of its armor. That way when I fought this Rathian, it would have to see what became of its boyfriend, while I killed it. I also put those grim reaper looking outfits on my palemute and palico, to add insult to injury. It didn't take kindly to my disrespect.

this fight along with silver rathalos was craazzy, they really put up a fight and they move very quickly. one of my favorite first encounters i ever had!

Why one earth would gold rathian’s hide not deflect attacks in a game like mh rise where you can crush monsters so easily? I thought gold rathian was lucky enough to have an actual metallic plate hide that deflects attacks so you had to attack the legs first

yo DG you actually have to dodge to make the ability work, so evade extender and evade window is what you will need to make it work effectively PS same thing for Lucent Nargas ability , also all of the "new skills" are from frontier 👌

Defiance is more than just Defensive Agitator my dude. At Lvl 5 it’s basically like 4 maxed skills in one. It’s GOD tier. Completely negates tremors, roars, and wind pressure, and adds defensive bonus! I’m surprised you weren’t more shocked to see that skill :)

Nah, I like what they did with the intro. It shows that Gold rathian is an elder dragon powered rath. Same with Silver Los. Plus Kushala is vulnerable to poison. If it was a black dragon being bullied I'd have a big problem with that.

To get into specifics of what status trigger does. When you have a weapon that can inflict status buildup of any kind, it only does so every 1/3 attacks. When you proc status trigger it makes ALL your hits do that status buildup.
