Hey, I just added subtitles where I explain my strategy for this run. I thought some of you might be interested. In addition, I want to talk a bit more about the area 6 spawn that I couldn't fit in the subtitles. Valstrax doesn't use his signature move in this area. Since he doesn't fly in the air where I can't hit him, it gives me around 10 more seconds where I can do damage. Valstrax also uses his second charge earlier, which is great because I will be amped during the second down with Power Prolonger 1. However, in this area I don't get a free opportunity to sharpen, which is why I use SWB a lot more to mount him if the geyser is there too. I need around 5 SWB hits to mount. Without the geyser, I don't know if it's worth mounting. It might better to just sharpen during one of his long recovery animations. This is how my script for area 6 was: Start to first charge: Get hit once for Dragonheart and use SWB 3-4 times. Goal is to amp around the 1 minute mark. This is kinda tricky because I also try to avoid his back (I explained the reason in the subtitles). I often just miss because of that. I've been thinking that Invincible Gambit might be easier, and I just amp with sword attacks. I haven't tried it though. After first charge: ZR A ZR and get those flinches before he starts charging. After second charge: I usually run out of white sharpness while he is down and also run out of amp shortly after. Immediately after the down I use SWB once or twice to get the mount and sharpen while also building up some amp. Then I ram him into the waterfall if it's there. While he is down I try to get amped and when Valstrax gets back up, he usually does the third charge immediately or after a few moves. Getting this spawn in the first place is so rare, it felt like getting it every 5 hours or something. And then something always goes wrong. I had one really good run where everything went according to plan almost perfectly. Area 6 spawn + geyser + lowest HP roll. Everything went really well until the end when he flinched during the third charge and then I carted because I got greedy. That run could have been insanely good if not for the flinch. Haven't touched the game since because I figured that I will probably never get a good start like that. I'll probably move on to another monster soon, and maybe come back to Valstrax later? I also want to add subtitles for future videos if you like it. I kinda enjoyed writing it. Anyway, thanks for reading, and hopefully it's not too hard to read.

Amazing run, cheers mate! One question though, when Valstrax does the stab attack with the wing he can either follow it up with another stab from his other wing or do the 360 spin move right after, is there a way to tell what move he is gonna follow it up? Or are you reacting to it?

Thanks! When Valstrax randomly moves a few steps past or away from you before doing the first stab, it means that he will follow up with a spin attack. When he starts the first stab on the spot, he will follow up with a second stab. 0:49 and 2:38 - Here you can see how he moves a few steps before the first stab animation -> stab into spin 1:55 - Here he starts the first stab animation on the spot without randomly moving away from me -> stab into stab Hope that helps!

I must praise that tali you must have seriously grinded for that as well, I know the closest thing I have is a rapids morph 3 wall runner 3 with 1 3 slot that extra 2 slot is incredibly hard to get so I commend the grind on top of the awesome gameplay 👍

Thank you! I was lucky and got it very early in 2.0 (after they changed the charm table bug). I had a bunch of mats farmed up before 2.0 because I was stuck in a bad table (gout).

Hey, thank you! It's pretty much my own build, and it's more optimised towards the area 6 spawn. I think for this spawn it might be better to have Power Prolonger level 2, but it depends on how fast I get my first amp. I've been trying lots of different builds for this matchup and found this to be the most consistent.

How do you know when it starts charging?

The cooldown is around 40 seconds. So every 40 seconds it will finish its current move and then charge after. Enrage seems to have priority though. If it gets below enrage threshold right when it‘s supposed to charge, it will enrage/roar first before charging. Also, I’m pretty sure that the cooldown timer freezes while it’s in the air doing the dive move, and also while it‘s mounted. I hope I explained it well, and if not please let me know^^

I know the video is 11 months ago, but I'm wondering how did you find out cooldown of the move? Also the 360 or 450 spin move tips is very insightful. I'm wondering if Valtrax can follow up the spin w/o running away from the hunter though?
